I don't yet have a tpt store but thank you so much for this video. You are right, this is a controversial topic. I just watched 2 other videos from others who say to not let your freebie hold you back from starting. They say to just make something and post it and that it doesn't have to be anything special. Although, that is very tempting, I agree with you whole-heartedly on all that you're saying as to what a Freebie can do for you. I also feel that if a person is gonna let their freebie hold them back, then they probably aren't going to upload on a regular basis anyway 😄 That, of course, is just my opinion. If you're going to go all in on it and take it seriously, then you're going to go all in on it and take it seriously. Your freebie is just a part of it. It's the start. It's a part of taking your store seriously. I love your content. Thank you for it. : )

Thank you for the tips. I especially agree with the 'high need' one. I create editable resources because so many times I've used resources that are just right...but I need to tweak something. That is one benefit I try to offer my buyers.

I hate to say this but $20K isn't much. That was about what I made my first year as a professional writer, but you need to shoot for at least $50K if you want to inspire others to want to do it. (especially in today's economy) But that will change in 2025. Maybe you can expand or write about it also to bring in more revenue.

Your audio is too low. I'm a tech and media business owner, producer. All you probably need is a lapel mic attached to your camera or soundcard. It will bring your voice forward and keep people from having to strain to hear you.

The fact that you do it without marketing and are making what you do is inspirational. Also, will you do a video of how much time you are actually doing per week on TPT and how much is product creation? I've been around about as long as you but have like one third the number of products you have.

This video is kind of depressing and it does demonstrate how saturated and dismal the TPT market has become.

Interesting video! In my province, our curriculum expectations are very general for my subject so there isn't really any common pattern of what order topics get covered in (because teachers can choose their own). So holiday/ season theme is more common. I like your idea of setting money goals rather than monthly selling goals. Even with a ton of marketing, it's still a lot of chance/ luck! I haven't opened my store yet, so these ideas are really helpful. I love that you say no matter what, one month will be your lowest! So simple but we forget that LOL!
