Loved the perspective! I have a follow up question since this video is 6 years old. Is Seminary Important? YES. Everyone should be a life long learner. The question that I would love an answer for is, "Is Seminary in its current design Relevant?" If you remove the cost and the denominational bias is the design still equipping and providing the best training for pastors? We are able to research, converse, and exposit unlike any other time in history with all of the advances in technology and social communities. Would a hybrid training program that helps bolster communication skills and incorporate the pieces of seminary that are still relevant? A practical method that honors the time already invested for those that have been doing ministry working daily or paid in a pastoral position.

The beauty I find in a video like this is a baptist preacher extolling and loving his presbyterian brothers. We need such reflections of unity in the church. Love the fellowship shown despite some disagreements among brothers. I’ve always appreciated that about the greatest preachers of our day. Their willingness to stand together on their foundational agreements, rather than choosing to fight over their more minor disagreements.

Thanks brother for these wonderful words,I will be starting this coming Tuesday leading 11 other men in a Bible study using much of these things you are teaching.

The ONLY WAY TO BE SAVED is to see yourself as lost and undone before a Holy God, excuseless, condemned, needing His provision which is His sacrifice on the cross, HIM taking Gods wrath in my place and Him imputing Christs righteousness to me. The great exchange, He was punished for my sin, I receive by faith Jesus' sinless life and death in my place to make me fit for heaven. Its what God did through Christ. He who knew NO SIN, became sin for us that we might have righteousness through Him.

Salvation in Christ starts when one hears the gospel of Christ. A brief summary of this gospel is that it consists of things we must believe, commands that we must obey to be saved, and promises of God that we will receive after salvation. This gospel of Christ tells us about what Jesus did for all humans on the cross as our Lord, God, and Savior. Once a person hears and believes in what Jesus has offered by way of salvation, they must realize their sin, repent of their sins, confess Him as Lord, get water baptized for the forgiveness of their sins, and live obediently to His commands. Here are a few verses that summarize the gospel of Christ. • The gospel must be preached for it is the power of God unto salvation (Mark 16 15; Romans 1 16). • Saving Faith is the direct result of instruction in God's word (John 6 44 and 45; Romans 10 17). • Saving Faith leads to repentance (Acts 2:36-38). • Repentance leads to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:9-10). • When one has repented, turned and confessed his faith in Jesus (Acts 8:37, Romans 10 10), he is then water baptized into Christ (Romans 6:1-6). • This makes one a child of God (Galatians 3:26-27). 1 John 2:3-4 obey is commandments if you actually KNOW Him.

I only realized today how GOD (JESUS) used a common rooster to crow that changed Peter from his arrogant self (gotta love him) to become the person servant for GOD in Acts and start the church, and bring it all to us as GOD has directed. I know that the Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST was the key factor and heartbeat of the whole gospel, but Peters heart started changing when that old rooster crowed. 🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼. GOD can use whatever he chooses however so small and insignificant to get our attention and change us!

I grew up mormon in utah, 8 urars ago i began to question the stuff i was taught, so i begged gid yo give ne the truth,, then 6 years ago, my life was abruptlychanged forever, god forced my buisbess to close, caused ne to move 3,000 mikes away. Did a work on me, as a result , i lost my hone, buisbess, famiky and friends. Became hated in, mocked, laughed at, abused emotionally and mentally by everyone in my life. During tgis horrible time in my life, God was force feeding ne the truth at a high rate. Came to fibd out through many available sources that God ked me to that the lds church/ mormonism/ joseph smith IS A LUCIFERIAN demonically controled religion. Due to this awareness , the devil was after me, having a target on my back i went through hell, 5 years ago polygamist mormons who used to be my friends turned on ne horribly to get rid of me. Lied to the police and worked togetger to acuse ne of stalking. Ive gad a warrant for my arrest over tgat lie from hell for almost 3 years now. God plucked ne out of that satanic prison and has now transplanted me in a new place, a few tgiusand mikes away, suroubded by true christians, away from that evil. Having let go of my satanic mormon beloefs, i now have a solid biblical christian belief. Im at the early stages of rebuilding my life, having 0 friends or family in my life, im alone pretty much 100% of the time. But although im alone in the world i thank god for saving ne and rransplanting me into a new life. Hopefuly, i can grow in christ in my new place and be happy.

Not only is the church I WENT to not teaching truth, they are under teachings that are false, including "PRIDE", etc.
