For them big loads 15 000 lbs and more, You start with a wide tier. I load at least 3 wide tiers. Get rid of all the bulky items, then 5 or 6 regular tiers , and then its s box party. This way you can load 28000 to 31000 lbs on a 53 ft Kentucky. Been at this since 1996. Anyways, great video.

And carpets in the first tier is a no no , because you have to lay the carpets down before you put the furniture in for set up
@ThePhildarealdeal3 ай бұрын
Never load boxes on their side,if the customer loaded liquids or bleach, your screwed it’s going to leak and get on the furniture,so this is a poor video

Great video. My furniture pieces are small, less than three feet wide and eighteen inches deep, three feet high. Would one standard moving blanket cover them? Would I need to use two green bands? How to protect legs on table? Thank you.
@matthewdaniels2839 Жыл бұрын
Yes, one pad should definitely be enough for furniture of that size. Just experiment with different orientations of the pad when you begin the process and try angling the corners of the pad in different ways if you’re running into challenges. The key is to maintain tension as you’re folding the pad, as keeping it tight as you move from one part of the furniture to another is the best way to protect the piece. These guys were using bands, my workplace uses packing tape, there’s many ways to be creative with the process.

Boxes stacked on their side? Not so great for the structure of the box or its contents
@bangaway Жыл бұрын
could be linens, towels that kind of stuff and you can always put a newfie pad or 2 ft plywood on them to protect when loading on top of them
@HaveAGoodDayFk.U3 жыл бұрын
Beautiful. Finally a moving video where I didn't see anything wrong. You even put down a pad for standing the couch and put the feet to the wall. The only thing I could say is stacking dish packs sideways might cause dishes to break, since u stand them vertical in the dish pack. Same reason you don't put picture boxes horizontal because any bump while driving could crack them in the middle.

I couldn't get my foldable hand truck to move a very heavy box but from this video, I realized that my box is oddly shaped and need bungee cords for security.

What would you recommend when the couch is wider than the base you have to the right of it? Put flat stuff there or what?

I’ve been a mover for over 15 years and I gotta say this is a really excellent video. I see so many hack moving companies making videos of them doing the dumbest shit, but it’s really nice to see a moving page that actually knows what they are doing. Beautiful work.

Your not covering the bottom of those items... this leads to scratching on the bottom of the furniture from dollies or moving around in the truck.
