Little note: A combo is generally referring to consecutive inputs that juggles the opponent in air. When performing 2 to 5 hits consecutively without true juggle, it is called a string, not a combo 🤓☝️

The move list coupled with the reactions I got from other players...starting with very negative reactions was my first big experience.. The notation didn't help as it had nearly nothing to do with Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat notation (My first 2 non Smash bros fighting games)...and I'm still struggling to figure out it all intuitively. The strong incentive to specialize into only one or two characters is also something that is strong in this game that I am not entirely familiar with as well.

This is legit a 2 for 1 deal since Reina is my number 1 character in Tekken 8 (I am trying to learn King and a couple others its not going great)...researching such stuff because I want to both maintain Warrior and seek Vanquisher I don't feel like I can truly do this without elevating my technique. This seems to be part of the missing piece the other will be for me to research Reina techniques further and of course grinding there is no substitute in the end for grinding.

What is the best character to fight against him in practice tool if i wanna try combos. Against some chars my combo works, but some are too small to get perfect hit. Who one char should i fight?

It really sucks to see Nier being so overly hated and OP. I recently picked up the game and my eyes went right to Nier as i loved her design and character. Just the fact she damages you by screaming of depression is rather cool to me. But the fact she gets so utterly hated on makes me not want to play the game. I feel like even with my beginner playstyle. If someone as much as sees that they are gonna fight a Nier. They will be angry and salty. Even tho i can do 0 combos with her. Ofc it's possible to just pick another character, and i have been doing that. But it hurts to not play the character i like in fear of the community. No offense to any Nier mains or Nier haters. This is just a view of an outsider

Why this isn't in the games tutorial is beyond me...i know this has been a thing since the beginning but it makes no sense as to why it's not explained in game.

I feel the best balanced fighting games from a strictly competitive standpoint are the ones where no character can overcome the block/hit counter/hit mechanics of the game, everyone's reach and hit box are equal, and you don't have to guess what a character is going to do based off a linear formation. Like for example when the cheesiest char does their cheesiest move and they can't be punished for it (they are always safe), or you have to choose this one char to counter a cheezy char that 90% of the community uses, or when u have to guess what a char is gonna do and luck has to be in your favor
