I have/had a few FM synths, and what's really cool about this one, is how raw the FM is. It sounds like analog digital. It super raw but not the over the top digital kind of brittle sound. I remember when that came out and I thought it was going to be like everything else, but this demo showed what it is. does it do drums also?

I believe I know what you mean about its character. And yes, it has drum parts! They’re a little odd though as the toms hats and cymbal share a lot of parameters. I’m still getting used to it so I haven’t recorded more yet, but once I do I’ll incorporate the drum sounds too! Any way, thank you for listening! Glad you enjoyed.

The clear FM sound is fantastic. BLAST BEATS gives the impression of being mainly a rhythm machine, but I actually think the four FM synth tracks are also very powerful. I think the fact that TwistedElectrons' new work is an FM synthesizer that uses the same YMF262 as BB is proof of that.

Yes, I agree! I do think the drum sounds can do more than they seem at first though. But yes, the FM synth parts are so accessible with all those faders! A wonderful sound experience! I just need a lot more practice with using it alone. I think the UI is strange at first, but there’s something very intuitive and simple about it with a little experience. I’m no salesman, I’m just always looking for the right gear for me! I’ve had fun with a few Livens, but Mega Synthesis is my favorite. B&B will have you making cool beats fast. It’s wavetables for the bass side which I didn’t enjoy it as much as FM stuff so I don’t have one anymore.
