At the 00:18 mark what do you mean by inability to flex the lumbar spine? I mean in regards to the upper and strength? Should we be flexing/rounding the lumbar spine before we begin to lift the head and upper back off of the floor? Thank you so much in advance. Love the video.

ive been having this issue for almost 6 months, the side pinky toe bone like you showed in the video is the part that hurts, and makes the top of my foot hurt even feels like burning pain, i did ultra sound they said the tendons are inflated, i did multiple physio sessions only made it worse, i was feeling the pain when i was wearing tight shoes, the summer came around and i stopped wearing shoes completely was wearing my birkin stock slippers for a few month the pain almost went away but i got back into working as an electrician always standing on ladders made the pain come back, and now im noticing similar pain on top of the other food but very mildly, don't know what the issue is or what i can do to fix this, fam doctor has no clue, physio lady also clueless just made it worse, orthotic guys seems like he doesn't know what the issue can be also, im literally worries im only 36 and not sure what to do, i am very active and always in the gym although i dont think that has anything to do with it, but now its effecting my performance and i have to go easy on it even when i kneel down and my foot bends i can feel the pain, is there anything you could recommend? would be great ive watched many videos and this is the closet thing ive come across

What insole brands would you recommend to relieve this? Also what are some popular shoes you’d recommend for the straight “last”

you ara a great teacher, , new sub here! I feel more comfortable manipulating people with short necks, but actually my girfriend is skinny and has a long neck, do you have a particular technique for long necks? any pointers will be helpful. She´s become more untrusty due to losing the lock and not getting the adjustment, plus she gets tense and while i think i got the lock, I didn´t have it in the first place. So it´s a vicious circle. (I might go to the zoo and practice with a giraffe first, jk)

What about using a pulley harness to support/hold his head for a therapist with small hands or small frame?

So that down glide & up glide looks like you’re rotating his head but in actuality you’re not?
@bodyworkdojo3 ай бұрын
Downglides and upglides induce rotation naturally
@mrhmd83083 ай бұрын
So an arthrokinematic motion of downglide + upglide produces an orthokinematic motion of head rotation? Great videos/ instruction. Thanks
@bodyworkdojo3 ай бұрын
Up/downglides induce rotation and osteokinematic rotation produces up on one side and down on the other. They occur together.

How does a chiropractor differ from an Osteopathic doctor?
@karolborkowski82313 ай бұрын
Osteo is much more holistic. Manipulations are one of the many techniques we use (mostly by structural therapist).

You're not really in the armpit, just inferior to it. Back of fingers along the ribs, tips of fingers enter the front of the scap.

The soles are curved for sure, but some more than others. A straight "last" is best for pronators, and a more curved last is best for supinators.

Been dealing with some recurring tightness around my left lat, outer armpit which (i believe) have been causing my neck pain by way of the trap. Take yesterday: got to the changing room, raised my left arm up to grab something from the locker and I felt that deep tightness/tenderness from the end of my tricep, around into the choracobrachialias (I think) and then into my armpit/lat. I feel that something is overcompensating for something tight or unstable and I just don't know what it is. No PT or AT has been successful yet in treating me.
@bodyworkdojo6 ай бұрын
Could be shoulder. But, this sounds a lot more like a neck problem causing your axillary pain, and not the other way around. The pain you are describing is common with neural irritation. Find a PT that performs the McKenzie Technique for the cervical spine.

If a patient get herniated disk should we adjusting exactly where the hernia is or work only around it because you could make it worse?

i dont manipulate heniations due to the tear in the disc. Could make patient worse or better. Not predictable enough. Manipulations work best on facetogenic pain or from mild discogenic pain. thank you!!

Your not a chiro & don’t adjust everybody’s neck. Ahem.. not all chiropractors adjust everyone the same. Motion palpation is extraordinarily specific & thrust is special & direct. Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy is essential Study Janet Travell MD. Warren Hammer soft tissue manipulation & Leonard Faye DC - Father of motion palpation- a rational, effective approach.

Okay so what happens if I walk barefooted around the house and I'm still experiencing the pain?
@bodyworkdojo8 ай бұрын
then shoe pressure likely isnt the issue. it is likely ground reaction force pressure. a forefoot varus is still often the cause as the lateral part of the foot presses into the ground before the medial part. can sometimes be addressed with an orthotic with a medial forefoot post.
