For example, if you want to see the canvas just click on ‘Canvas’ in the list. It’ll take you straight to it and save you 45 minutes of waffle.

G’day Jim I bought an ergonomic pen similar to yours from TEMU only the one I have you can’t replace the tips. My friend Anna who got me into DP bought one from TEMU which looks like yours but I don’t think there was any tips. She tried putting the wax in the hole but it was a waste of money. I have lent her mine to try it. She actually still uses the pen she got with her first DP. I found my pen was very comfortable to use. I don’t have problems with my hands I got it as a novelty. It was very handy for me when I am using a magnifying glass as it’s only small and doesn’t get in the way. I would definitely recommend the ergonomic pens. The one I got from TEMU is a bit prettier. It also maybe be plastic. The pen does what it is designed too. Cheers M 🎉

G,day Jim I just watch this video and I was surprised to see I had the exact same led light. It does have a couple of draw backs , first being I can only use it via the usb cable as for some reason it doesn’t light up very bright now. Perhaps I dropped it one to many times lol. The other issues are the reflection from my large magnifying lamp. But I must say the magnification with the light works really well. The last issue is my cats hair gets trapped behind the glass somehow. I have 3 cats so I’m forever getting tweezers and picking up the hair from my canvas. Still working that one out. I have trouble seeing the drills even with my fancy magnifying light so the hand held works well. I liked your idea about using a power bank. Atm I am doing a cheap TEMU painting and everything is so tiny. The legend is so small and have to use a magnifying glass to make out the code. Fortunately it’s only 30 Color’s some of the codes were printed so badly I couldn’t make out the little squiggles I had to use a process of elimination to draw the squiggle on my stickers on my bottles. This is only my 3rd painting and my first square drill canvas, it has been a real challenge because I started using glue dots as well. Even after watching several videos on the subject the glue dots are too sticky and they keep stealing the drills back lol. After getting glue residue over the drills I decided tweezers is the way to go. I was using a streamers tip of rubbing the pen on my clothing which didn’t work for me. (Besides after dragging the pen across my PJ’S cat hair got stuck on the glue haha) I’ve found I prefer to use tweezers on my square drills, much less aggravation. By chance I found myself on the page for the same tweezers as you and I was delighted to buy a one of set. I have never bought from France before. I can wait to receive them. Hopefully you’ll get a notification about a new comment on this videos, thanks for all your help with my DP experience. So far I haven’t been online if you have done a live as I’m in Australia and your I think 8 hrs behind me. Cheers M 🎉

Hi M, cats and canvas glue aren’t the best combination. 😄 I use ceramic tipped tweezers for both square and round drills but once in a while I’ll test a new pen or use one I already have just for a change but I always go back to the tweezers. 🙂 I’m sure you’ll enjoy the new custom tweezers. They always look really nice. I haven’t done a Live for a while, just struggling to find the time to do it at the moment but I’m hoping to do one at some point this coming week. You can always drop in on the replay and leave a comment if there’s anything that catches your attention. Thanks so much for doing all these tests with the new pen. This one is a real game changer for placing AB's and I know I will definitely be using the new pen for this purpose. Hi Jo-Anne, there are always gaps with square drills. No matter which company you buy from. Just concentrate on placing the drills inside the marked box. Once you switch the light pad off and step back, the gaps will disappear. Just remember, round drills have bigger gaps but they look fine from a normal viewing distance. 🙂 The checkerboard technique definitely helps to keep things straight. 🙂 Thanks for watching! ☺️

The new drill pen didn't work for me with ABs. The drills just shredded the putty and I kept having to scrape putty of the drills. It works fine for regular drills though.
@DiamondPaintingJim
@DiamondPaintingJim 25 күн бұрын
When I first tried using the putty it was stringy and left deposits on the drills but I found that if I pressed slightly harder when placing the drills that problem stopped. The only issue I had with the ABs was that one drill that wouldn’t release from the pen. I also found that if I have excess putty on top of the drills, just pressing the pen hard down on it lifts the putty off. I found it impossible to get all of the putty off using tweezers. There always seemed to be a thin layer of putty left on the drill. Thanks for watching! ☺️

@@DiamondPaintingJim Thanks for the tip. I'm so use to a light touch with wax and ABs, I did think to try firm. @DiamondPaintingJim
@DiamondPaintingJim 26 күн бұрын
Hi Toni, it’s always difficult to answer this question but if you’re looking for a top quality diamond painting I’d say Diamond Art Club are definitely worth looking at. The canvases tend to be on the large, to very large side and that obviously adds to the cost but they take longer to do. So you get more quality time diamond painting. Diamond Art Club only sell licensed art work, so the original artist gets something back for their efforts. This also adds to the cost. Some people totally support this idea, others just want a kit as cheap as possible, who cares about the original artist? Diamond Art Club also manufacture their own drills and they have extremely high standards. The canvases are the best that I’ve tried. If I had the choice between buying four or five kits from Temu or one from DAC, I’d save up and go for the DAC. A lot of people buy only DAC kits and I totally understand why. If you do decide to go for one, please let me know what you think of it. Thanks for watching! ☺️
