How to rewrite history : step 1 : dont mention India, Step 2 : give it a new name which has no Indian connection ( Luneville ) step 3. Stop using Tambour : result its an ancient technique but the only country / culture associated with it is France.
@petepipee6751 Жыл бұрын
According to Chat GPT" While tambour embroidery is often associated with French haute couture and is commonly referred to as "French tambour embroidery," it is believed to have its roots in India. Historically, tambour embroidery was practiced in India using a small hook called an "aari" or "tambour needle." This technique was employed to create intricate designs on fabric, particularly for traditional Indian garments such as sarees and bridal wear.

The main difference between Aari and Tambour is the face of the fabric while working. Tambour is mainly done from the reverse/backside of the fabric while Aari is done from the face/frontside of the fabric.

@@puckpuck88 That may be but the topic was about the origins and the origins are in India. Look up Tambura in google and you will see for yourself
