"Disorder in the House" is from Warren's last album "The Wind". Like a lot of his songs it's funny and disturbing at the same time. And it has a super-skronky guitar solo by Bruce Springstein!

On the slower more sad side, Warren has a wonderful song called “Keep Me In Your Heart.” My wife and I have become intimately familiar with this song. I just passed my 6-year mark with an incurable but somewhat treatable form of cancer (multiple myeloma). If anyone had told us I would be entering my 7th year this week we would hav😅😢e thought they were nuts based on how I presented originally. It’s a beautiful song he wrote for his wife as part of dealing with his cancer. There is a line in it I love that says “There’s a train leaving nightly called ‘When all is said and done.’ Now, a more thpical Warren song is one he wrote about his diagnosis, which came very late as he did not seek care. It’s funny and heartbreaking called “My Shit’s Fucked Up.” Pure Warren Zevon.

sorry about your condition, but as Warren said, "enjoy every sandwich". And yes, "MSFU" is indeed heartbreaking but funny. An even more poignant one is "My Ride's Here", typically another dark humored song by Warren

Yeah, definitely. Interestingly, it was the last song he ever performed live, during an appearance on "Late Night with David Letterman" shortly before he died. And I know Stan recently reacted to the Linda Ronstadt cover, but Warren did the original version of "Poor Poor Pitiful Me".

I’m not commenting about werewolves of London as I’ve seen your reaction to it but, you should listen to “Roland the headless Thompson gunner”, “excitable boy”, and the heartbreaking “my shits fucked up”.
