I drilled out the white plastic clips instead of carefully removing them and replaced them with a bolt, a small washer that goes on the motor and a bigger one to go on the inside of the door, and a nylock nut. Everything I used was 10mm and I even wrote that on the inside of the door with permanent marker. Now in the future, there's no battling those clips.

So you were the guy that I see changed the temp sensor, you had this all apart why was the reason you replaced the sensor? Cause the temp gauge fell and AC quit? Now you're changing the thermostat which I have read solved the issue, did it solve yours?

Would you believe I came searching for a video like this because my 2002 GMC Envoy has the same leak in the same area? I was fearing I'd need to replace all the lines. I'd much rather do this instead! Thank you for posting!

Hi If you know for a fact your gonna remove the sensor. Disconnect battery cable. Cut wire & stick 15mm socket over sensor & simply turn it out.

I just did mine … fyi to anyone when pulling the regulator part away from the window motor do it slowly… and then before pulling any more check in the gap and make sure the spindle with the wires that connect to the regulator is coming away also … I did both doors.. and on the passenger when I unscrewed the 3 bolts from the motor and pulled the part that screwed to the window motor the whole spindle of wire stayed on the motor and the wire came undone and had to buy a whole window regulator with motor … what was supposed to be maybe 1 hour work became 2 days waiting for the part to come in When I did the driver today I went very cautiously and when I pulled the plastic portion away from the window motor .. same thing was happening but I got a flat head screw driver and pushed the spindle away from the motor and this time success

Test old window motor before removing, in case it's a wiring or connector or switch or relay or fuse problem. See how many things it could be, other than the motor?

Steve Young does a great job of explaining and teaching his version of the workaround and is concise with his video.
Not a bad job at all. As per the Factory Service Manual….do not apply any type of conditioner or dressings to the accessory belt. Torque Specs 28nm DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. DO NOT LET TENSIONER SPRING BACK. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE TENSIONER Remove Neg Battery Terminal from Battery 1st step of job Wear PPE After completion, observe the belt with engine running for improper alignment or anything abnormal. Warning. Once you have the bolt removed and the tensioner is stuck to the engine block, put the bolt back in. If the pulley bearing is bad, replace the pulley. The guide pin will snap off inside the block if you try and pry the tensioner off of the block. It just happened to me today. Use a ratchet only to loosen the idler pulley. After it is loose, switch to a ratcheting wrench. Now, I need to drill a hole where it mates to the block and fasten a screw so it will not rotate. If you live in a high corrosion area, be very careful. Think about what can go wrong.

Tinnitus, hyperacusis and noxacusis are not fun. Auditory damage has no limit and can torture you to death. Imagine all sounds attacking you causing pain and increased ringing that has no limit. Your brain screaming like a jet air plane.
