Silly question. I'm getting back in the hobby after years away. When you turn SAFE off, is AS3X still active?

This is a great little plane. I bought one a while back and finally got around to flying it Sunday. It is also my first ducted fan jet to ever fly. It absolutely flies like it is on rails and the stability mode works great. One tip, fly full rates in Stability mode or you won't have enough control and will have to make really wide turns.

The sound from the high-speed low-altitude glider pass has to be one of the greatest sounds in aviation!

Nice to see this prototype jet flying after learning more about it from Eric “winkle” Browns book and his escapades in this life taking beast.

I don't get why they went for a grey canopy... Had my UMX mig 15 fro 12 years now and it just looks less like a toy with a clear canopy. just the new umx Me 262

Nice aerial shots! Sweet plane, sweet flights, and life does not suck in the land of corn! It’s kind of amazing how much they sound like jet engines now- you gotta wonder who figured that out….And what is that runway made of? It looks like rubber-

You probably already know this, but you can get the same elevator throws in SAFE by bumping up the SAFE gains, in fwd programming, by 10-15 points. SAFE gains adjust the control surface movements for pitch and roll while in SAFE. As opposed to the AS3X gains, which is for the amount of reaction to wind/turbulence. If you're not planning on rolling and looping a bunch, its nice to have it come back to level and still have the authority to jerk her around just like in AS3X mode. I fly to relax and distract myself from life's stresses. Im not trying to be the coolest rc pilot with an impressive bag of tricks. I just love taking off, touch n goes, landing and jerking that thrust reverse up, stopping my plane right of front of me. So, i keep 'em in SAFE and adjust the SAFE settings to allow me all the stuff i want, with lower consequences when i inevitably dumb thumb a maneuver. Aweseome, greasy low pass with that Rafale. Beautiful camera footage, too! Thanks for this video 👍

I love this plane its beautiful and flies amazing and has great scale looks for scale flying low to ground and doing scale looking crop dusting flybys. I love scale rc planes especially cessna's and other civilian aircraft thats non military and i also love my scale airliners i lile sport flying with scale sport planes but not these fantasy crazzy 3d planes dont interest me im more of a sport pattern airshow box flying style rc pilot and do pattern flying comps and acrobatic comps thats non 3d and you gotta stay inside the box as well and use the whole space up to get juged well

That was sick guys especially when Bobby K wing tipped the water. I did that with my cirrus on the dew covered grass other field I fly in and watched the spray off the wing right in the sun and it was so cool what a rush! Great video from pilot Ryan and Bobby K.

Allright! *I'm always more gradual/steady and stabilized on the water, don't stall it in..& keep wings level.. Also don't surge the throttle, sucking up water into prop ..it puts a lot of shock on the motor mounts & servos, etc.. Git'r moving gently with full aft elevator, not goosing it, keeping on the tail of the floats keeps splash down, once moving a bit, advance power, holding that angle..makes for a really stable launch, and less "prop-spank" Done right, it's damn smooth , graceful, & beautiful.. *Landing shallow with power & dragging with nose up once makes contact & slows makes soft, sweet landings.. I practice float & ski landings by "kisser" landings, extended takeoff, & "touch & make out with the runway".. practice landing like a butterfly with sore feet!😉
