Got to wonder if it would be cheaper .. To buy a new tire . And a new rim . Rather than salvage the old rim .....cmn
@effthegop6 ай бұрын
I'm guessing that rim would easily cost $1K VS 15 minutes of labor.
@chrisnungester2506 ай бұрын
@@effthegop And what is the cost of a new tire ? And why is the tire leaking ... Could be a puncher . Or could be a leaking rim seal...
@effthegop6 ай бұрын
@@chrisnungester250 These solid filled tires are certainly expensive but the biggest cost on machinery like this is down time. Heavy equipment often works in extreme conditions and if a piece goes down, the whole project may come to a complete halt at thousands of dollars per hour.

You know one thing you can do with those tire halves it’s make a children’s sandbox like I did or you could use it to make a small garden

@javeedsultan84843 жыл бұрын
Well I'm disappointed. Looks rather waste full, You can tell when you are watching how tyres are removed in the west, it takes 2 blokes to operate a $200,000 machine and you end up with waste rubber Now in Asian you can either have it retreaded Or Have sandals made from it
@carleynorthcoast19153 жыл бұрын
Just re-tread the tire

Does seem easier to pop the outer ring off the rim and pull the whole tire off. This will have to be removed anyway to put the new tire on.

@deserthawk1163 жыл бұрын
the guy wasted 9 mins to take that tire off, given how fast you can pull the pin on the tool , all he really needed to do was cut the rubber shell 30 sec in middle and 30 each side and then slice the donut at the end, 2 mins top. but they are mechanics lol billing you for hour anyways
@flyer55jrt3 жыл бұрын
If that tire wasn't flat when they brought it in, it sure is now.
