sober AF 😂 The toilet thing is out of control this halloween. I loved teenage slasher, but it is very stream of conciousness/adhd-on-tangent writing, so you may not like this one either. I read the Library of the dead a few years ago, and I had a fun time (though I will admit, the "library" isn't a huge part of it). I still need to read the other two. This was fun to watch! I love when I haul stuff....leave it in the bag....then it is like a surprise all over again!

Lost Man's Lane is really good! I have actually enjoyed all of Scott Carson's books. He also writes mystery, action, thriller books under his real name, Michael Koryta. Happy reading!

I started a reading journal last November and mine is not so creative and amazing like yours. I got it at B&N. So, the set up is already there the Title of the book, author name, how many pages, etc. but my handwriting sucks! 😅 I try to write neatly but then my hand hurts. Can’t wait to see another book journal video 😊

So, look. I’m an almost 40 year old dude. This is not my strength. But I can’t pretend that having a snazzy reading journal like this wouldn’t be awesome. I’m jealous at your time management, tracking discipline and creativity 😂

You’re Journal is 👏🏼 so 👏🏼 fun 👏🏼. I appreciate that you committed to your theme, gave us some color, and more importantly, kept it simple to your style. Like you, I would compare myself to the journals who were more artistic. I can’t paint, but I’m still very crafty. We need to see more journals like this. I think is a great journal for a beginner to follow. I think it’s helpful to hear your commentary on what you use a lot and what you will tweak for next year. I appreciate that you also change things up every month until you find what works for you. Non fiction I would recommend: The Crossroads of Should and Must, Crying in H Mart, Educated (or any memoir narrated by the author), and Atomic Habits.

I think changing the format each month is actually a great idea, keeps it fresh and fun. 😊

Stickers are my friends when it comes to my reading journal. I've been doing it for years and I still haven't figured out how to document my books. 😂 I'm at 203 right now and it's just difficult balancing function with aesthetics. I've already started working on my 2025 journal so that doesn't help either.

Omg My favorite Riley Sager book is The House Across the Lake too!!!! I’m on my 6th Riley Sager book which is Middle of the night I’m listening to it on audible and reading it on kindle at the same time I’m having a great experience so far. The only 2 I haven’t read are Lock Every Door and Home Before Dark.

Omg Wayward Pines is a favourite trilogy of mine - I love Crouch!

Great reading month for you, Venus! I honestly only read 3 books in June... not a great one, but hopefully July will be better. I have so far not been hearing great things about Middle of the Night, unfortunately. I don't have it yet (and I'm on a book-buying ban), but it makes me worry about picking it up, though... I am still curious. I enjoyed Survive the Night too, and I thought The House Across the Lake was decent, but Home Before Dark has been my favorite. I haven't gotten to Final Girls or Lock Every Door, or the new one of course yet though. I have not read anything by David Sodergren but I'm curious about him as he's come up a fair amount. So sorry to hear about your father-in-law. I'm glad that Dungeons and Drama helped you through it a bit. Cute cover too! :) I've wanted to read The Pines for quite a while! Oh, all the books... :)
