When using painter's tape, you're supposed to paint over the tape with the color of paint that you want UNDER the tape. Let it dry, then paint inside the cutouts with the color you want the details to be. This way, you get sharper edges and no paint leaking under the tape. All masking tape is meant to be used this way, though if the underneath paint is detailed already, a clear primer should also work.

This is so helpful! Ive done a Sal Fisher cosplay for 3 years now and I never feel like the scars are realistic enough. With shading its gotten a bit better but its still not very realistic. This will help so much!

The only problem I found with using glue is that it doesn't last super long :( I did glue scars like this and they lasted a max of an hour or so before the glue got too dry and started flaking/peeling off

Glow in Dark, and Neon paints work best on white surfaces, then paint in the Black background, otherwise paint a white underpainting where Neon and G&D is to be painted. I have found that the Folkart neutral glow works best with 5 to 10 layers
