Hi can you show me how to weather a mg42 to make it like it was outside in russia for yhe last 80 years?

I will try to make a short vid, and upload it as soon as I get some free time. Also, search KZfaq for "How to make plastic look like rusty metal" and you should be able to find some great starter videos to help as well...

What’s the chance you could do a video on how to operate the Livewell in that bass tracker three

I have this exact boat but I stripped the inside and ended up turning it into a tiller drive with tuff coat interior and a 150 qt cooler hooked to the pumps for a giant livewell

Trust me... These boats are very well made, and have great "bones" to build on. We are going back to a time, where people took pride in their work. The welds are perfect, the integrity over all is amazing, and I hope when I get to upload the build vids they help you in someway...

The metal deck is not street signs and the dividers were all standard I assure you that I have owned 2 of them and they are all built the same
@A.M.O.Adventures6 ай бұрын
I can assure you, they are in fact "street signs" ... if you place all of them together, it makes a "PARKING" sign 🤣 You can even see the "P" at 6:04 and the reflective film. Sorry @user-pm5ot1qv2o But you are wrong, and Bass Tracker would NEVER do this at the "factory" level.

Just watched your video. I am putting together a slave Leia figure. This figure has a metal peg on the rubber body and a standard slot for the head. Not easy to get on. Would you know if the dryer would work for this too.

Just curious but I wanna do one of my German figures with a battle if the bulge theme. How would I give a snow effect to the clothing? Would I just do same thing except just use white paint and chalk??
@A.M.O.Adventures7 ай бұрын
There are several techniques you can use for snow. Liquid floor polish or clear fingernail polish is a great way to get a "wet look" effect, and white chalks for the "snow dusting" look. I like to use the nail polish method mixed with baking soda for a more permanant, thicker snow look. Try different things on a scrap material, and see what you like the look of best. Good luck, and have fun.

I like to use chapstick on areas with a high sweat area like the collar on uniforms as well as the end of sleeves and areas a human sweats alot. These tend to be areas that accumulate dirt and oils as well as equipment that tend to be handled daily ( pockets, pouches , magazine pouches first aid etc) The helmet is a big one especally inside the sweat guard leather and chin strap. Then add chalk to add wear and tear to the uniform maybe a little sandpaper to add rips in the knees and elbows as well.

Great demonstration! I have a Desmond Doss 1/6 scale doll that I want to work on & I’m fairly new at this type of project. What type of paints are you using? Please and thank you
@A.M.O.Adventures Жыл бұрын
Hiya Luna! I use lots of different materials to "weather" my figures. My top 3 are: craft chalks, cheap craft paints, and alcohol to thin the paint. Never be afraid to use "real" life items as well, like dirt from the back yard, or grass to "grind" into the clothing. Remember, you are trying to simulate the natural look of a real "soldier in the field"... Good luck, and keep us posted on the progress! 😊

Do you have foot mods I have feet with pegs that go on but don't fit on the leg or the pegs how can I dryer loosen or soften them up
@A.M.O.Adventures Жыл бұрын
For feet that have "pegs" or "posts" I drill out the bottom of the ankle and glue the peg/post into that hole, but allow the foot to move freely on the peg/post to make multi-poseing.

Thank you for this! I originally came here to find head swap videos but ended up so intrigued by these repaint videos I watched those all morning instead! I love seeing your artistic approaches and I was nodding along as far as how similar yet different they are to mine, most notably dropping that dark in the cracks and crevices and wiping it off. I believe it's called 'rub & buff' but I am not sure, that's just what I call it when doing inside ears, etc., I also do it on hands with closed fingers to make them stand out more, and toes, too. I mean if the factory molded those toes with indentations and toenails and all, which virtually disappear when left untouched, why not bring them out? Some even have the cracks on the joints where fingers bend, and those show up better too with a dab of dark. Eyes are scary to me, as far as how delicate, I admire your theory on that. I do my highlight (with white) using the head of a large pin or sewing needle (and usually quick erase it right away when I see how off it is!). Too I have found using a gloss medium on the eyes makes photographing them a little difficult, depending. Sometimes the light source, whether it is natural or artificial, like a camera flash, will make them into zombies, so, I stick with the painted glare or highlight method, tricky as it may be. I have also found a VERY light wash of blue mixed with black applied over the jaw and chin makes a nice five o'clock shadow. But a VERY thin wash, as you said, thinner than milk, thicker than water. I don't mind getting down and dirty and using my fingertips to quick tamp with to lift it OFF but leave enough ON for a convincing look. I have never tired denatured alcohol before for anything or really even heard of it, I don't think, so thank you again for all the cool tips and taking the time to make this and your others as well!
