I love that vest! I'm in Nova Scotia and we're expecting the hurricane to increase in strength by the time it reaches us. Crossing fingers that everyone is wrong about that, but I also enjoy a good storm. Its a bit of an excuse to buy storm chips and download movies. :)

I haven’t tried these but I’ve been hearing a lot about them. Maybe this pattern will work for you: Shorty Heel Tab Socks, they can be found on Ravelry. I haven’t made socks in a long time but when I did I always doubled the yarn on the heel for a little more cushion when walking.

I love the Entre Deux! I am keeping notes of all your as yet unreleased patterns I want to make. I bought my yarn from L & K for the Chevron Vest. I’m using Percy in Town and Country (aubergine), Frog Rock (green), and Pendant (orange). I will be “Best Dressed” this spooky season! 😊

Beth! I’ve gone down the rabbit hole with hand knitted socks and I LOVE Roxanne Richardson who has a KZfaq channel. She’s a master hand knitter and approaches knitting with an engineering mindset. She has multiple videos on socks and how to knit a custom fit sock and even has some videos dedicated to heels. Much like you, I noticed that afterthought heels don’t fit me so great and Roxanne has a video on how to measure the pertinent parts of the foot so we know the dimensions to knit a great fitting sock. You make beautiful things! When doing an afterthought heel, try knitting a few rows around( I do 4 or 5 ) before starting the decreases. That will give you a deeper heel. Cindy

I'm just gonna have a little convo with you in the comments. :) I just started casting on a Chevron Vest when I saw you had a new video posted! Using Tykk Line in Lemon. I find a lot of blues and sometimes yellow crocks on my hands too. I have some bright blue socks I made that I wore on the GG girls cruise that crocked like crazy on my hands, but they didn't turn my feet blue. The second version of the Summer Lee sock is beautiful! I also like a plumper sock yarn, I think usually like 80/20 or 85/15. :) Love the soft colors of that simple paneled top! Also still so in love with the Icing on the Cake vest.
