I just bought a Turf Tiger 2...I am new to the zero turn world. I am trying to do the 3 point turns at the end of the rows, but it still scuffs a lot sometimes, and very easily it seems...especially on hillsides. Hoping its just a learning curve, or do you find that is an issue with the turf tiger in general because of the weight of the machine?
@elitelandscapeslifestories3 күн бұрын
Try taking some air out of the back tires, maybe on slopes lower the throttle speed a bit, it will pull less. Let me know if this helps at all. I don’t have too many issues with it, but sometimes it’s inevitable depending on the situation.

If a flower bed is overrun by St Augustine, do you guys have to take it out first before mulching? Or can you just pile on mulch....effectively killing the grass underneath over time?

Enjoy riding the wave while you can, A.I. lawnmowers are pricey for now, but eventually they will be as little as 300 dollars and landscapers will lose a lot of their income in the trade, unless they do hard scapes

On a SCAG V-deck, where do you run the baffle for the best stripe? What about the pitch? Do you pitch it down 1/8” in the front or run it level? Thanks. I really don’t want to buy a striping kit and don’t see one on most mowers.

First of all i couldn't agree more that reliability is a huge factor. I would say that i got 50% or more of my customers because of a previous company not being reliable. Secondly, you've got to price (even the regular maintenance) by the work involved. Ive had prospective customers tell me that another company quoted their lawn right over the phone. Ive got half acre lawns that i charge more for than lawns of more than an acre because of a lot more trimming, edging, etc.. Thirdly, dont try to compete with what i call fly by night outfits. These are the people who who purchase a mower, trailer and trimmer and head out to charge $35 regardless of the lawn. Trust me, they'll be back at their factory job in 4 months
