Sometimes i copy the code from chat gpt when i click it run it says "context error"
@pitchcoach13 күн бұрын
Yes, that sometimes happens. One way to solve this issue is to report back to ChatGPT the exact error message and line it happens and ChatGPT will generate corrected code. You might need to do this a few times until you get to the correct code. ChatGPT is getting better with code, but it's not perfect yet.

Mentalism in online is cool....my thoughts... It however hijacks the subconscious for a bit of time ,7-15 min, as mind tries to figure it out in the background. If you explain it, the audience can then focus on the primary topic, and be impressed and engaged by the fun experience. And has trust that you were not just trying to imptess them with mentalism, bit you gave something...and law of Reciprocity acts and they give you something.

Thank you for the enriching video! I was wondering if there is a way to limit a shape object positioning on one axis - so once it was created, the user will be able to change its position to sideways only. Can this be done in VBA?
@pitchcoach3 ай бұрын
I'm not sure, so I asked ChatGPT the exact question you asked above. Here is the response: To limit a shape's movement to one axis in PowerPoint using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), you can indeed implement a solution, though it requires a bit of a workaround. PowerPoint itself doesn't have built-in properties or methods to directly restrict a shape's movement axis. However, you can achieve this effect by capturing the shape's initial position and then using event handlers to restrict its movement. Unfortunately, PowerPoint VBA doesn't support event handling directly for shape movements, but you can create a control mechanism to adjust the shape position during or after user interaction. Here's a conceptual approach: 1. Store Initial Position: First, you need to store the initial position (either the X or Y coordinate) of the shape that you want to restrict. You might do this at the time the shape is created or when your VBA script starts. 2. Create a User Interface Control: Since PowerPoint VBA doesn't directly allow for event handling related to drag-and-drop actions on shapes, you might create a simple user interface (like a UserForm with buttons) to move the shape sideways. This control will adjust the position of the shape programmatically based on user input, ensuring movement only along the desired axis. 3. Manual Adjustment with Immediate Window: As a simpler but more manual approach, instruct users to adjust the position via the Immediate Window in the VBA editor, providing them with a simple command to execute that moves the shape along the restricted axis. Here's a sample code snippet to demonstrate how you might programmatically adjust a shape's position along the X-axis (sideways movement only): Sub MoveShapeSideways() Dim shp As Shape Set shp = ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes("YourShapeName") ' Replace "YourShapeName" with the actual name of your shape Dim currentX As Single currentX = shp.Left ' Store current X position ' Adjust position ' Example: Move shape 10 points to the right shp.Left = currentX + 10 ' If you need to move it to the left, subtract from currentX ' shp.Left = currentX - 10 End Sub ``` Remember, the manual adjustment approach requires the user to run the VBA script each time they want to adjust the shape's position. This isn't as seamless as dragging the shape, but it ensures that the movement is restricted to one axis. Creating a more dynamic, event-driven model for this in PowerPoint VBA would be complex and potentially involve external applications or add-ins to monitor and respond to shape movements in real-time, which goes beyond typical VBA capabilities within PowerPoint.
