Going back to Chortle days... I think I had about 10 personas but only 10% of the population was on the internet so there was no one else to talk to... I think at one point Steve Bennett had a referendum to ban fake personas but it never happened because all my other personalities voted against it.

Another fascinating discussion. Thanks Steve and Paul. My comedy character, SLT Newbie, only exists on X and Facebook. She has written 4 books which have sold quite well but get a lot of abuse and sometimes unwanted photos from weird blokes...

My worst experience was a crowded pub on a Friday night with matches on TV screens, people playing pool and most people not there for comedy. This also had no MC and the promoter announced each act by name and had a microphone where you couldn't hear yourself. The crowd was chatting loudly and each act was asked to do 20 minutes despite never having done that long ever before.

Everyone loves a comedy video for Christmas. Going out seening it live when you want to get pished is the issue. Christmas is a time for beers & beak & trying it on with a hot workmate. Not live stand up, but if your getting paid....

Hi guys I finally starting booking just 2 acts and an MC because they would be much to drunk by the time the 3rd comic would come on. Sometimes I would tell the acts to keep it to 15min . Now that I'm retired I don't go near a pub at Christmas, love the pod cast cheers xxx.
