Keep your finger on the trigger w/ air flowing all the time, just pull back on trigger when you need paint flow, basic fundamental airbrush technique....instead of constant psht psht psht w/ the air AND paint flow going off and on at the same time. Great looking piece of work though, with lots of good info on techniques.

Sadly AZTEK 4709 is no longer available except on eBay and likely used. I just got the last 4709 listed as new (unused). I sold AZTEK in my art store decades ago, but they could not compete with the "big boys" at IWATA or Paasche.

At first I was going to give you a thumbs down because the diamond plant pattern isn't consistent like a pattern should be. But overall I liked it and it was well done. One more thing. I would have liked to see consistent shadowing the diamond plate and symbol had different light sources( for a shadowing effect).

speaking from experience...The custom paint scene is a hard beast to conquer. As he sead the airbrushing is about 30% of the whole process . The rest involved is prep and body work. that in itself is a whole different skill set that must be learned before you can lay down paint . Not to mention how difficult it is to even get your foot in the door. If you get lucky enough you will literally start from the bottom as you claw your way towards the top . It's going to be a lot of hard work and sacrifice but it is achievable if you're able and willing.

I think I hear the air shutting off at the end of each stroke in the earliest light sketching... Is that a single action airbrush? Why is there no excess paint left on the needle tip, at the end of each stroke, resulting in splattering? I'm asking as an old spray can, and oil painter with some years experience, but complete airbrush novice (Using an iwata eclipse cs with mixed 😉 results.)

Excellent tutorial video! Could you kindly give me more details about items mentioned in the clip. What kind “floor wax” you are talking about? In technic no. 3 you are using a mesh (from some kind of bag). I am trying to buy it, but can’t get it in the UK. Do you have any link for that product (eBay, maybe) ? Thanks again. Cheers

I liked 1st and 3rd design but I think you overdo the first one. Layers just didn't blend in well and instead it looks like romboid marks are floating above the base layer skin. But thanx for sharing your techniques. Fantastic job. Well done.

Those little, “whisps”. Are you using your airbrush, in single action mode? I am not a professional, but I have heard the entire time I have used.my airbrush ( over 15 years) to keep the air on. You seem to have yours set up like a single action, and just lightly hitting the trigger to get those little whisps. Am I correct?

@@zenmetaldecor That’s not what I asked. You must be, as you have avoided my question numerous times on your various video’s. Don’t get me wrong, I bought your video set, and would buy more if there were more. I even bought an Aztec airbrush, so I could do your illustrations the same way you do. Although I already owned Paashe, Badger, and Iwatta airbrushes.
