Awesome video, 90 showed her true speed without coaches is quite impressive with the return at Carpenters. It’s sad that 90 is under her rebuild now, but hopefully she’ll return by the fall or Christmas season. Real shame though that she couldn’t be running for her 100th birthday.

How come they put the diesels on the front?
@andrewdesabatino27 күн бұрын
To supply the train with dynamic breaking. The stretch from Penobscot to Pittston is a steep downhill grade, and the dynamic breaks in the diesels help prevent the crew from losing control of the train.

Great video! Sucks they’re only running Thomas to Cherry Hill now. $30 for a 30 minute train ride? Hell naw!!!

If anyone listens closely to 2102’s whistle, it had a slight squeak as it was passing through Mohrsville. The conductor must’ve pulled it too hard

It looks like the second half of the train is painted in a PRR inspired striped maroon scheme, I believe I recognize some of these as ex-Iowa Pacific cars which means they probably painted them recently. I can't wait to see what it looks like when the whole train is painted in a fresh coat and each car is given that makeover. There's just something so satisfying about a full length train in a singular colour scheme, I hope we get to see excursions like that for many years to come.

Have 475 and 89 been sharing the same 6 chime or is that a different one that 89 had? Just curious

@HinckleyBranchRailfan4 ай бұрын
I get that but I was wondering if it is the same whistle and the locos are taking turns wearing it.
@KeystoneRailProductions4 ай бұрын
Between the two locomotives, 89 bears a Nathan 6 chime while 475 sports a Southern Pacific 6 chime.
