Purveying falsehood at so many levels. RSS formed in 1925 when Nazi and Hitler were unknown even in Weimar Germany. RSS essentially was formed to strengthen Hindu society and get rid of 1000 yrs of foreign rule which includes Muslims and British. Initial RSS was more based on British military but ethos were Hindu/ Indian. Also It is Hindu nation not a Hindu state. Implying the cultural nationalism and not religious. As per the manifesto of Early Hindu nationalist, All the faiths including Muslims and Christians are free to practice.. Sensitivity about Muslims has to be understood in background of the partition of India as Muslim demanded a separate nation. The Muslim population has increased by 44% in India since partition. They are officially 14% but more like 20% as last census was 13 yrs ago. Hindu is a civilizational concept in India and not religious. Also secularist should welcome Hinduism as Atheist or Charvaks as they are called in India, as integral part of the society as are LGBTQ.

Great convo. Really important topic as there are many parallels between the rise of fascism in India and the US that can be informative about each other and how to combat the regressive ideology. For instance, the mention that a minority of the populace support the BJP. That's true in the US as well. Most people do not support republican policies. But we can see that republican policies are over represented thanks to a decades long effort to gerrymander states and to pack courts with sympathetic and ideologically motivated judges.

You have to realize all the countries suffering this disease are capitalist. When the majority of people are repressed they historically turn to backward thinking and religion for answers and fixes but they only make things worse.

Because science and education are destroying the con games of religion. There are trillions of dollars in religion. What happens when they vanish, people stop believing them? ALL THE HOLY PEOPLE IN HIGH PLACES IN THE GOVERNMENTS? THE MONEY THEY COLLECT AS INCOME? Besides being able to control the minds of those who believe in their fantasies. What does that mean for the Religious State Of Israel?

It is good that religionists don't date you because they could not likely bring you the happiness you need, just weird life rules based on nothing. Religion is dying, as it should.

I support transgender people having the same individual rights, liberties, and safety that the U.S. Constitution and laws provide to everyone else in this country. Also, I support constructive efforts to eliminate crimes against transgender people; as well as discrimination in housing, employment, public accommodations, education, and health care, etc.. I think it's productive to have an across-the-isle conversation from all sides where everyone can present their information. In my view, a healthy society will facilitate equitable opportunities for all citizens to thrive; without oppressing, canceling, marginalizing, and retaliating against some people. Maybe each of us can model the type of behavior that we expect and encourage from others. I'm okay with people expressing themselves on their own terms as long as it doesn't encroach on my rights. While I enjoy associating with queer people, sadly a number of transgender activists are turning into the very monsters they are fighting against. I like transgender people, however, I don't like some aspects of the transgender activist’s ideology - cancel culture and oppression. It seems to be an authoritarian and tyrannical culture of one-way streets where inclusion, tolerance, and diversity are expected, yet not reciprocated. A few years ago, members of the gay community were successful in moving the Overton window by receiving overall public acceptance. Perhaps transgender activists might adopt a few of their ideas.

Im not sure what I should do. I am an anti- theist but my molars are right wing fundamentalist. For their care do I need to speak with the Christian Dental and Medical association about their care? Sorry, what on earth does good dental or medical care have to do with christianity. Prayer never fixed a cavity or a broken leg. Medical science developed treatments for our health issues. If I need help with imaginary friends I will definitely seek religious help. But 100% of the time all other problems are worked out through humans and human ingenuity. Great video. Without a doubt we live in a dystopia. The enlightenment documents and our innate morality tell us that our current state is far from happy. How we spend our money. Equality along all lines. Poor healthcare. Wealthy control on our nation. That our antion acts like an empire. So many other things. They all add up to dystopia. But these white christian nationalist racists are dead set on making our dystopia and make it look like an utopia by comparison. They will not be happy until no one is happy. They need tp spread suffering and death around the world. These people will not be happy with what they create. It is literally based on mental illness. They suffer horribly in their minds and have a need for other people to suffer as well. Thanks for everything you guys do.

Outstanding interview! ...and I've watched an embarrassing number of hours of Sapolsky lectures, talks, and interviews, as well as have read Behave. He clarifies so many of those, and guides me on a path to greater insight.

I was looking forward to hearing this debate. There are approximately 7 min of the debate shown and the rest talks about Oxford and getting ready for the debate. If you can’t change the title, can you tell us where to find the actual debate as described in the title? Having said that, I am with the “four horsemen”. So-called Christians do not even agree which churches/denominations are supposed to be Christian. If they can't agree on the fundamentals, why would any rational person take them seriously? When your confusion goes that deep, it's maybe time to move on to something more rational.

If the poll taken at the end of the debate was the question, "Is God a delusion?," then it's no surprise that the atheist team lost the vote. I, myself, am an agnostic, and while I typically side with atheists in debates against religionists, I would never assert that God is a delusion, no matter how expertly the atheists argued. What the audience should have been asked was simply, "Who won the debate?" Indeed, had _that_ been the question, then the atheist team might well have received more votes, and mine would certainly have been one of them.

It was modernist thinking and the enlightenment that lead us towards being critical of and ultimately rejecting religion. Postmodernist thinking, from which trans ideology gains it support, is a backwards step towards irrational and faith based thinking, something FFRF ought to consider and in my opinion, avoid supporting.

"Freedom from religion" is a sophomoric euphemism for something like "freedom from oppression" or "freedom from slavery," as though religious people are being tormented out of church or pestering atheists on a daily basis. In London, they put such crap on advertisements on city buses. These people should be deported to a tiny island somewhere.
