Gorgeous cats....love the Blues!! I had a Red that we adopted after he retired from showing as a National Winner in '06 at the age of 3 3:16 . Look up Mittsnpaws Miromax; there are still pictures from his show career online. All this perfect creature wanted to do was to be close to me; I was his Ma-ee (the way he said it) and he was my guy for the next 13 years. Even in frail old age he kept his brilliant red color; people around here who had only ever seen your standard orange tabbies remarked on it. Miss him every day.

Double blue perfection. My late Max was a Red, now called Cinnamon. We added him to our family after he retired from showing shortly before he turned 3. Look up Mittsnpaws Miromax; there are still several pictures from his show career online. He was at my side for all of his remaining 13 years; even in his frail old age he kept that brilliant red color that people where I live now, which is rather unsophisticated, would remark on it. Even my vet said that she had never seen a Somali before. All this perfect creature wanted to do was be with me and adore me.

Loved and miss the Somali that I had. The beauties in this video are Blues, which is one of the 4 CFA recognized colors and my favorite, even though my guy was a Red (now called Cinnamon). Blue is uncommon, so I'm enjoying the show.

Guys Somali cats are not actually native to Somalia😂 They’re called that because Somalia borders what was once Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and they are a breed of Abyssinian cats but breeders didn’t want them being mixed up with the already existing Abyssinian cat breed, so they named them Somali. They’re just long-haired Abyssinians and I don’t think you will find them roaming freely on the streets of Somalia (or anywhere really) as they are a relatively rare breed and their breeding council has a directory of reputable breeders.

@@kiinadan6786 a little google search will show that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Just search it online, the information is there, I’m not even going to try to argue it with you when it’s so clear. This cat breed is not native to Somalia and is in fact a lab breed which is rare.

I couldn't get my cat out so I pulled the mattress and box spring off the bed and reached for him through the slats. Took me 20 minutes to remake the bed again.

I just have one of those cat toys with the feather on it and play with them to draw them out and I've just stapled a hard plastic netting netting around the bottom of my bed and now he can't get under, you don't hurt your feet on it and it doesn't look to bad either, stress-free solution

Beautiful cats! Would they be alright by themselves if their parents go to work for the day? Also when on holiday for lets say 2/3 weeks, would they be alright by themselves if someone checks in on them daily?

We just got our 1 yr old cat from a cat rescue a week ago. ( she was spayed a week prior) She hides under our bed where we can’t get her 24/7 she has taken some treats from me and I decided to start feeding her on our schedule she she won’t be waking us up like she did the first two nights. Nw she sleeps through the night. One evening she came out and hid in our closet I retrieved her and closed our bedroom door. She looked around our house and was sociable for two hours. She even played with the toys I used. But she wanted to go back in at bedtime and sleep under the bed. She hasn’t come out since except to eat and use her box. I go and talk to her about 4-5 times a day to socialize her. I can hardly wait until she isn’t afraid to come out! Our home is quiet, just my husband & myself ( we both love cats) and a very laid back quiet and calm miniature poodle who wants to love her but keeps her distance as she knows she must…I am so looking forward to her really becoming part of our family.
