im actually a Somali. This cat is from Somalia i want one😭😭😭 If i was in Somalia now i could have gotten as many Somali cat kittens as i can handle and care for but here they're hella expensive. I still gotta get one😭I miss having a cat.

Loved and miss the Somali that I had. The beauties in this video are Blues, which is one of the 4 CFA recognized colors and my favorite, even though my guy was a Red (now called Cinnamon). Blue is uncommon, so I'm enjoying the show.

Beautiful cats! Would they be alright by themselves if their parents go to work for the day? Also when on holiday for lets say 2/3 weeks, would they be alright by themselves if someone checks in on them daily?

They’re not actually from Somalia though. Somali is a name breeders gave them because Somalia borders what was once Abyssinia and they are a long-haired breed of Abyssinians. Breeders didn’t want them being mistaken with the already existing Abyssinian breed so they named them Somali, but they’re not native to Somalia.

Guys Somali cats are not actually native to Somalia😂 They’re called that because Somalia borders what was once Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and they are a breed of Abyssinian cats but breeders didn’t want them being mixed up with the already existing Abyssinian cat breed, so they named them Somali. They’re just long-haired Abyssinians and I don’t think you will find them roaming freely on the streets of Somalia (or anywhere really) as they are a relatively rare breed and their breeding council has a directory of reputable breeders.

@@kiinadan6786 a little google search will show that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Just search it online, the information is there, I’m not even going to try to argue it with you when it’s so clear. This cat breed is not native to Somalia and is in fact a lab breed which is rare.
