You can totally prevent your fabric from being "sucked down into that hole" by simply using a throat plate made for just the single needle (most manufacturers make one). And using a foot that is also made to accommodate a needle width only. No need to mess with tape. 😊

Got to try this. Your directions seem clear enough Even For Me To follow.... I am guessing we can actually Choose most of the Measurements to be the Size we would like to try and make our bag...

Thank you so much for this video. My granddaughter wanted me to make her a skirt, and I'm a quilter, not a garment sewer! I was dreading putting the zipper in, but with the gadget and your instruction, I got it right the first time. I am so relieved. A million thanks! ❤❤❤

Amazing video, I am not a beginner but I wouldn't call myself intermediate either, I am somewhere in-between with my sewing journey. I am planning to make a garment that cuts on the bias. Decided to do some research for tips and tricks and ways to cut and sew on the bias and that is how I came across this video. Thank you for this - I feel more comfortable with starting my new project - my fabric is a slippery one even though it is cotton - so wish me luck 🙂

thank you, I lost the instructions a long time ago and found the pattern recently and really wanted to make it since it looks so breezy, and it is so hot out. Also, it doesn't call for a lot of time and fabric!

Thank you for this video. You’re the first video I’ve found that used actual fabric instead of small paper pattern. I’m new to sewing and the small example paper pattern confuses me. I needed to see how the actual fabric was sewn in. Thank you so much ❤

I am going to try this using 100% cotton aluminized utility fabric. I got when JoAnn’s moved in our town. They sold everything before closing the old location I got this bolt I wonder if I should use two layers? The foam under my old one has always been a problem.

I solved my issue by not using a cheaper sewing thread. I had bought very cheap Birch thread. Changed to Gutterman. Amazing difference to the stitches not doing weird loop every so often and wonky stitches on the back of sewing.

I did two pair today just like this. I love them. I wish we could post a photo. I googled what size needle. It said no 16. Wow, was that a wonderful needle for denim. I was pleasantly surprised! I cut 9”off because the girl wanted below knees so that meant 4.5” but it worked. I also added the white seam above using no 5 for length!

I’m so confused because I’m using a print fabric so when I print the pattern how should I place the printed pattern print side up on the printer fabric or put the print down pattern down on the back side of the print fabric. I’m so confused. Can you do another video tutorial explaining this using your printed pattern so I can see how to place each pattern on the printed fabric. I’m so confused. Thanks

Okay thanks for this. Realy appreciate it. So what i get is that this mat should not be moved? Meaning if i am using my table for both work and sewing So each time i move the mat up have to recalibrate?
@ProfessorPincushion
@ProfessorPincushion 8 күн бұрын
its not so much if the cutting mat moves after it is calibrated. It is if you bump or adjust the projector or stand. If you have it calibrated, you can move the mat all you want because the pattern projection is static and scaled correctly. As long as the table height and the projector does not change you can use the table for other things without re-calibration. But still best to check the calibration real quick when starting a new project just to be sure.

With the help of your very clear and precise instructions I just altered my t-shirt in under 10 minutes! Guess what I'll be wearing today? Ha, ha. I will be sharing your video with my family and friends. Thanks again.

Is there A reason to use raglan rather than set in sleeves? Yes I am VERY new to this. In my case fleece or flannel. I've noticed the fleece clothing I wear more often tend to have have set in sleeves ............. I guess that observation should be enough of an answer but I am wondering if there is something obvious I am missing?
