i had a 2003 chevy tahoe for 21 years as was a work horse. Finally broke down after 300,000 mile. Bought a 2007 suburban and problems all the time with 160,000 miles
@GTPremiumReviews12 сағат бұрын
I can definitely see having more problems than most considering it's the 1st year of that body style & not knowing the service history with the previous owners or how they treated it.

I own a Mach E and just bought an F150 Lightning and not sure what I love more. Comfort, the F150 is untouchable. MachE has the fun tech. Ford is doing a better job than they get credit for. One last comment, the F150 has a tone of after market goodies that few have. Don’t discount the fact that after market add-on are amazing. In the coming years, what will the after market batteries be like. More range, less money??

Honestly, I'm totally fine with IFS. I'm happy to exchange some off-road capabilities for on road control & safety. Especially in a vehicle like this that isn't really intended to be a rock crawler or serious off-roader.

Man rhis is such a great review. Thanks for doing this. Im in the market for a LT z71. What's thr ltz add iber the Lt?
@GTPremiumReviews3 күн бұрын
I'm not positive of what you're asking due to the spelling 😬. But I believe the LTZ pack basically adds the luxury option & entertainment to the LT, & Captains seats into the build although they're listed separately, similarly to how an off-road package is listed on my window sticker when that's automatically part of the Z71. The GM window stickers are notoriously difficult to match up to an actual order package, especially this far into the future. Mine original sticker lists it equipped with the: Sun, Entertainment, Destination package. Luxury Package. Off-Road Package. HD Trailer Package. And a handful of standalone options like the 2nd row captains seats.

There are several reputable options out on the market ranging from a simple plug & play AFM disabler to a full blow tune with AFM disable built in. You can trash this for the price, but a mid-level Tundra costs the same, and you're getting a Toyota pick-up. A Ford or Chevy might be a little less expensive, but then you own a Ford or Chevy.

Our Contracting company owns two Lightnings. Saves us about $8000 each per year over the gas equivalent. They will be replacing our F250 diesel versions; similar horsepower & torque (2016) and towing capabilities. In Canada, our gas is Double. The US and electricity is cheaper. Our dollar cost per kilometre is about 1.5 cents (2.4 cent US) which is a fantastic ROI for a super capable truck.

So does the flex fuel not utilize the 93 fuel correctly? I have a 2007 z71 do I need a tune to use it?
@GTPremiumReviews19 күн бұрын
Mine is FlexFuel. I believe the flex fuel system uses an ethanol sensor to allow the engine to make adjustments to run properly on e85. The system wasn't designed to squeeze more power out at higher octane ratings, but rather to run well on both fuels.
@JayyMoney-vr7nv19 күн бұрын
@@GTPremiumReviews so a tune for 93 would be better instead

I've had my 2023 Lariat extended range since October 2023, so ~8 months. It was $60k after incentives (federal tax credit, state tax credit, and another $7,500 incentive from Ford.) I routinely drive it 150 miles each way downstate for taking care of my AirBNB, I've hauled drywall, lumber, insulation, and more for a basement finishing project I'm doing myself, and I took it on an 850 mile holiday trip (1700 miles round trip) between Chicago and New York. I have absolutely loved it.
