You only have to time the intake cam, the exhaust cam is connected with the intake cam via a gear ⚙️

Is the Discovery Sport different to the Evoque? I noticed that it has a second drain plug, one within the other, this is to determine the fill oil level. The larger plug is a 17mm alan key.
@Mr_SpringyАй бұрын
Hi, thanks for posting this, I did my Discovery Sport autobox today. I note you used ZF Lifeguard 8 as supplied by Land Rover. I was advised to use Lifeguard 9 as the autobox is a 9 speed. I don’t think theres much difference between them? The other thing i did was to use the 1 litre oil containers once empty to decant the old oil into, so I could check the amount that drained out versus the amount I put in which was 3.5 litres as you described. Drives better now so appreciate you uploading. 👍🏻

Brilliant, the only video that shows the really VIP area to clean. Many show the 4 scuttle tray drains. None show the real danger, i.e. under the Battery. Leaves always get there. Luckily spotted mine with a 4 mm pooling i.el before going in the car. But this is essential. If you wasH your car with a hose or power washer. Water will get in there. Think about it there is about 10” on either side by the hinges, of course water will pour in there! If those drains get clogged especially with Sahara Mud rain you will get a problem. One question this sorts the dreaded battery side, which is impossible to keep clean if you have trees near you. But what about the other side where the brake Master cylinder and fuse box is. . I am positive there must be drain holes ( like the ones underneath the battery tray) Luckily mine is dry so assume working but its only a matter of time. How does one get to those and where are they? But I am seriously impressed, wonder if they service Mercs.? I have my CL500 Serviced at a main dealer and they never ever looked at these or the sunroof drain holes.
@WhildeAutomotiveLTD2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your response and for watching my video. Yes you’re correct ✅ these drains always get overlooked by many service technicians even in main dealers. On the drivers side with the fuse box/front Sam you are correct it’s difficult to inspect as lack of space I always look in there in between and on services.

Hello master, I am the owner of the 2022 Discovery Sport Land Rover from China. The Discovery Sport model produced and sold in China weighs 170 kilograms compared to Europe and America. I would like to know if the four doors, tailgate, and fenders of this car are made of aluminum alloy. Only the tailgate of this car produced in China is made of aluminum alloy, which may be the reason why this model is heavier in China. Thank you 🙏 Your help.

Great video. Thanks. I have a ‘19 discovery sport. 44,000 miles. The Gear warning light came on while I was driving and the car went into neutral and I rolled to about 3 MPH and it heard a grinding noise and the car stopped . The gear selector wouldn’t move in either so I turned the car off and on the second try things were back to normal and the warning light disappeared. Any thoughts what it could be? I’ve watched a handful of videos and one person mentioned maybe a low battery could cause that. I’m not sure. The battery is almost 5 years old.

Hi , need some advice. Just bought an velar 2017 p250 63k km at 56 the cam belts have been changed bcs rattle so that should be sorted. What are service intervals and when to service the transmission? Any advice would be nice! Kind of scared because of all the negativity about these cars, but also very excited to pick it up hah. Ive seen enough 2017 p250s on the internet with 150k km's so i hope it still has enough life in front of it.
@biz4twobiz4635 ай бұрын
a good rule is to change the transmission fluid every 30k or 35k miles. So, at 63k km, now would be a good start.

Hi and thanks for the great video. Just a little confused has JLR when i called them told me i'd need 6.5 L to do the job and quoted nearly £500 just for the oil. Looking on some of the other car part companies I'm getting costs of around £80 and that's for the good stuff hence my confusion. My vehicle is a 2019 discovery sport dynamic lux HSE SD4. Question therefore is, are we still looking at 3.5 L and does that price from JRL seem right?

Great looking job! Especially when using those hard steel lines. I have done one this week but I used copper nickel line, so I was able to make the complete lines without needing joints. I don't know if they are available in Europe. You buy a 25' coil and feed it from the front and bend it as you go ( since it's very malleable).
