If you can do reaction, it's good but if you watch privately also, it's okay. I just hope you form your own opinion, while for me this anime is really special and really2 good and worthwhile, not everyone can get the underlying plot of mha. I just hope u able to appreciate the story. Everytime i rewatch the anime with any reactor, and the nostalgia,feeling and emotion that i feel during my first watch will come back. Like every single time, plus with the details, perspective and opinion that i might miss, i enjoy any observables reaction that able to relate and link the context from previous scene, previous episode to the current episode their watch. Yeah, Hori also utilize all characters he introduce throughout the story, like even the seemingly calm arc held an important link to the plot and storyline. Well just enjoy the story !

I put off watching GoT for years for the same reason you mentioned. But trust me, the first few series are great. Having just finished the original Dragon Ball (japanese voice / english sub) for the first time in my life I can say it's the most purest of them. There's great humor, good amount of action and it makes even a grown man cry and laugh. Amazing feeling and I'm kinda bummed that it's done now, but I will rewatch it some time. Now I'm about to start DBZ for the first time with japanese original voice (watched the dub as a kid) as well as some of the movies.

If you really want to watch Dragon Ball and, above all, understand it, you have to start with Dragon Ball Classic, it is from Son Goku's childhood to young adulthood, then Dragon Ball Z (Dragon Ball Z Kai if you want to watch it without filler), you don't have to watch Dragon Ball GT because it isn't part of the official canon, then comes Dragon Ball Super, otherwise you won't understand anything in that order
