@@bubbatac9841 there is a spring style clip that connects to that little square plate on the back of the inboard pad with the hole in it and it goes from there and bends around the pad to the inside the opening for the back of the caliper and that part at no point in time did I see nor hear you reference appears you may be missing a couple pieces from your front brakes because there is supposed to be one on each front caliper

It seems to be driving better but revs high at 4th and higher now. Not nearly as bad until 5th gear. Don't know what to do Codes won't clear when i erase with scanner. Any ideas?

Never had trouble using T45. But some times on fords it seems. Something’s are Torx, Allen, Metric, SAE who knows. Try doing a oil pressure sensor. Everything getting to it (If you have big hands that is.) is Metric. But it’s not, or is it?

You made this look really easy but it's not so easy when the gun has been unmaintained for 20 years. I'm just grateful a family member kept it for me at all. Another family member turned in my great grandfather's WW2 M1 Garand service rifle to a local police station for voluntary destruction. Can you believe that? Insanity. I would have cherished that thing like my child. At least I inherited a few of his guns. I had to use a rubber mallet to knock the receiver off, neither myself nor any of my friends could pull it off like that. After that, it was easy, but then putting it back together was a pain too. I had to use the mallet again in the opposite direction to line the receiver up properly so it barely sticks off the back, and then I have to wiggle the pin like crazy to get it to click in place and stick out the top. I almost bent my thumb backwards trying to push it in without wiggling it like I have Parkinson's. Hopefully the more I shoot and clean it, it will loosen up. Thanks for the video, because the manual was not helping.
@bubbatac98412 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, glad you where able to get it back together. I agree it should ware in with use. Shame about the M1, I have a similar story with my grandpa’s gun being disposed of by a careless family member.

Does anyone know; What symptoms would be the cause to do a solenoid kit replacement. I am at my wits end with mine. I swapped the transmission it's been running fine for about 2 months and all of a sudden it started when but the old transmission was doing witches when I slow down and put my foot back on the accelerator the transmission doesn't engage I have to come to a complete stop and then rev the motor a little in the transmission will jump into gear any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to the maker of this video That mountain view is breathtaking 🤠

I've got about 30 house handles. Favorite, bar none, is their 28" boys ax. Slim, sleek, sexy frickers. I've copied their measurements and have now thinned all my boys axes from other makes (like Council Tool) to the House Handle boys ax dimensions. You WILL feel the difference if you're bucking, limbing for long. By comparison? Stock Council Tool handles feel like hitting a tree with a ball bat. Thin them down to House Handle dimensions, sheer delight. NONE of that vibration/force is transferred to your wrists and elbow. HUGE difference. It's as if House *taught* me what a boys ax handle *should* be. And that said, I haven't had to thin their full sized ax handles much, if at all. Just sand them and oil them (well, flame them first). They feel GOOD swinging them. Look good, too. Nicely designed. NOTE: You won't find the palm swell the same on any two axes. Some I have are HUGE. Some so-so. A lot of them are slightly tilted -- which for me is excellent because.... well, look at your hand. Is your hand symmetrical? They fit my hand nicely. I love House Handle company. But then... you have to first define what you expect from a handle. If you buy Beaver Tooth or Hoffman or Killinger, you're looking for symmetry and perfect grain orientation and ... a whole lot of things I am not interersted in.

Thank you. This helped me a bunch. That third solenoid was a pain. I followed your writing on the screen and shifted the transmission into neutral. It allowed me to get a 21 mm wrench to the back nut, then slightly pulled out that shaft to get the last solenoid out. Again, thank you.

I have a mkI, and cant get the main spring to pull out, no matter how hard i pull it will not pull down. tried rubber mallet at top of pin, and hammer with wooden dowel, will not move. it will twist a fraction, but that's it. any ideas?
@bubbatac98414 ай бұрын
Some times they are very sticky. From the factory, if you or anyone else has never stripped it down before can seem if they won’t come out without some super human strength. Also if it was not taken the best care of overtime gunk, dirt, dust, debris, congealed oil, grease can get in there, and seemly glue it in place. My suggestion is as follows; use some good penetrating fluid or just some WD-40, let it sit, then reapply. After a while, give it a tap or to with a rubber mallet to loosen it up. Then get a good grip on the release lever with a zip tie as I said in the video. See getting a good grip is key, I’d where gloves too, and dry it thoroughly of what ever you used as a penetrant both before you try to take it apart, and after very important to remove that during cleaning. If you get the release open, and pin won’t come out try a bit more WD, or whatever, and some more love taps with the mallet. Good luck. I know you can get it. thanks for watching.

Would you know anything about finding the right barrel for a 20 gauge with a 12-gauge receiver? I think my barrel is also not the original. I took it to a parts shop and they kept asking if it was the original. I have written down somewhere that mine was made after ‘77 based on reading all the numbers/symbols on it. Can’t remember what exactly it was from, serial or barrel. But from what I read the 12 gauge receiver wasn’t used on the 20 gauges after 77. Totally lost

Somebody else who knows maybe able to chime in. But for me it really depends. The one I got in this video was $300 or $350. But then I got a second one in a pawnshop some years back and only paid around $150. collectors of the type might pay more. But most people don’t even seem to know what they are. At least in my experience. Most people that are looking for tactical shotguns are just gonna go with a Mossberg or Remington 870. And because of that when it comes to a Smith and Wesson they expected to be a bit more affordable than those. And since you can buy the Mossberg, and the Remington for around $300-$350 most people are gonna expect you to sell it for that, or less. I know that’s not very fair to a quality firearm like the Smith and Wesson to just assume that. But hopefully this points you in the right direction. Thanks for watching.
