I'm glad I watched this DIY video on how to replace a broken garage door hinge. It's good to know that each hinge position on the garage door has a different number, starting with #1 at the bottom and increasing towards the top.

I think they fear monger for business. There’s a lot of dangerous things that have steps that pros never like to indulge people with. Just to make some cash. Glad this exists. I don’t even have a garage or a home I’m just watching because I called bs on people who say you shouldn’t. Propaganda. Unless you’re just ignoramus you’ll get this done with proper tools

I just replaced my springs, and even made an adjustment to lighten the pull, and here I am, living to type the tale. Thank you for the easy to follow video. Made the job easy peasy. The hardest part of the whole thing was finding my file in my very messy shed. ;)

If you’ve been watching videos on how to deal with torsion springs, this is is, stop watching. This guy is all you need. Even before this video, watch his measurements video on torsion springs, best one I’ve found. He makes it so easy but you have to have all your senses, don’t get distracted and you’ll be fine.

Excellent video, helped me out of a jam!! Note guys, if you don't fully adjust the springs 30 1/4 turns the cables will keep falling off the drums and tangling each time you open the door beyond a certain point, causing you to start all over - don't be afraid, the resistance becomes extreme after about 20+ but keep going to 30 regardless!!!

One of the best instructional videos I have seen. After viewing it a couple of times I was able to install new torsion springs and repair my garage door. Taking my time in the interest of safety the repair time from start to finish was 90 minutes. Complete, simple, and well presented video. My thanks and hats off to Express!

Excellent tutorial! I'm mechanically inclined and have my own welding shop, but this removed any apprehension about doing this procedure. Thank you! As a matter of fact, I ordered the springs, then searched for a video and realized I ordered them from your company!! I'm in great hands 👍

Thanks for the video. I have some questions for the channel and anyone who can help: For some reason, each time I manually roll/push the the garage door to the upmost position, the cable slacks off, causing the cable to become tangled. It's as if the tension on the cable is lacking at the upmost position. Any thoughts on how to solve this issue? Also, does a garage door normally stay up on its own when rolled up to the upmost position? Tension on Torsion springs are fine, the door DOES NOT ride up by itself. The balance on the door seems fine. Door stays in position when lifted 1/4-1/2 way up. Torsion Springs are similar to previous spring measurement-wise, EXCEPT: the new springs are 2 inches longer than previous spring, but wire dimensions are the same. Meaning the Torsion springs can lift a heavier door. Any thoughts on the questions would be highly appreciated. Thanks

great video. thanks so much for making this easy. the tension was high (pun intended) winding those springs, especially when one of the holes on each of the springs was poorly fitted to the tension rods. this video was incredibly helpful and all the tips were spot on. The file is a MUST have. a hammer also to tap the old springs loose since the set screws had been way over set and crimped the tubing. thanks for making this way less dangerous with solid advice and easy instructions!

Great video and also a great company to purchase product from. The product was high quality, the packaging was very good (seems like a rarity these days) and the product arrived in two days for standard shipping! If you call them to place your order, it is better than doing it on-line. They provided two bars for adjusting torsion, plus a set of 8' door cables at no charge. If I ordered on-line, those would have cost extra. They also told me how many quarter turns to make for torsion (34). I did have to back off two quarter turns, because my door didn't go down tight to the floor, even through there was no pull on the garage door hardware that was holding it up. Just follow the instructions in this video and things will go smooth.
