Season 6 was during the Hollywood writers strike. That's why it sucked

as someone with a sleepwalking disorder that results in me waking up hyperventilating and covered in sweat every night, season 1 was a tough watch

Hannibal the show leans hard into the absurdity and comedy, while maintaining an 80s art house film aesthetic (per Fuller's words). There are smash cuts of a forensic team member going "well, what is he doing with these intestines then? Making sausages? hardihar!" to Hannibal cooking said sausages with said intestine, or when Hannibal flips through his recipe cards, and his list of contacts and combines the two in a sort of "grocery shopping" montage, or the numerous cannibal puns, it's basically a romcom after watching it a few times.

I would argue that in the season 2 finale, Hannibal could have left in time after Will's call because he tells Will "We couldn't leave without you." Whether he means without killing Will, or without kissing Will and putting him on a plane is left ambiguous. 😁 Are Hannibal and Will friends, lovers, or just interested in each other's pathology? Is Will trying to arrest, kill, or kiss Hannibal? To quote the show, "yes, is the answer to that." I kind of love that Hannibal responded to Will's "I don't want to see, hear, or think about you ever again" with a "well, then I will let myself arrested so I will stay in the news for months, and I'll make sure you know where I am at all times, so there!" And then sassy prison Hannibal is just hilarious. He's got no more fucks to give. I agree that season 3's finale is a perfect ending to the show, Will's arc complete, Hannigram reaching a peak with them killing together, Hannibal happy he's found his murderhusband and soulmate etc, but at the same time I would love a season 4 with Will and Hannibal happily living the life in Cuba, killing for their dinner together every week, adopting millions of dogs (all named ceffy, for the encefalitis), and maybe fostering a few baby serial killers together. Though I also love the crack-y comic where they go where no one will expect them; Disneyland (first episode, "cotton candy", second episode "diet coke"...)

Gotta love the Dino Delaurentis hate, guy has done some good for films sure, then just screwed up even more stuff. All my homes hate Dino.

Again, whoever told these people they were funny… Has really just harmed us all

I see Bedelia as a call to the Clarice that ran away with him in a romantic twist and also a cautionary tale about what can happen if you repeatedly escape and rejoin Hannibal. I also agree about the ending of the show. It was perfect and I want more but that's how you know it was so good!!

The tv show is a love story. A total sociopath and a total empath connecting. The last scene of them falling over the cliff is a little cheesy but it’s a perfect ending. It’s one of the best tv series ever. Season 2 finale was brilliant.

I loved the book Hannibal. It was crazy but idc.
