This is great! Now how can the mirror be removed without damaging the wall? I'm thinking about following this technique, but in a rental, so the mirror will be removed after a year. Thanks in advance.

Is the mastic going right into the painted wall? Is the only thing holding up the mirror the adhesion from the mirror to the paint? What if the paint separates from the dry wall?

Nature is a bitch , it can and likely trow a lot of water at houses so if that wall you build after two days bent because of wet backfill i wonder is that wall was filled with enough rebar and has the concrete the right PSI to be strong enough to stand the pressure . Also has the concrete long enough time to harden .

Back-filling doesn't happen in our area until the basement slab has been poured and the floor system is installed with sub floor.

Thanks for the upload. Wife and I are getting ready to build on our dream lot soon and I was curious how involved clearing the trees would be. Question for you if you don't mind? Our land is slightly sloped, to the point where if we left it as is we would most likely need to build a home with a walkout basement. If we didn't want a house with a walkout basement, is it extremely difficult and expensive to level out the entire lot to make it more flat? Also, is making your lot more flat a bad idea? I've heard sloped lots are better since they allow for better water drainage. Thanks again for the video!

I agree sloped lots are better for drainage when they are sloped properly. We especially like when the lots have a slop directly to the back of the property so we can incorporate a walkout and get large windows in the basement.

Using standard wood workers glue on the exterior of a structure is completely wrong and will not last more than a year. This is a major flub by this person.

Can certain adhesives leak through the silver back of the mirror, and create a ghost like design on the front of the mirror. Just moved into a new house and all the mirrors in the bathrooms have these odd ghost like designs in different areas on the mirrors.

I want to take down the big mirror over my vanity and frame it with heavy tile(after adding a wood base) and rehang it SAFELY- it’ll be heavy…it currently has those clip things holding it u/on…I wouldn’t feel safe with just glue….we get frequent small earth quakes too….suggestions?

Please use construction adhesive, please no caulking. Caulking is NOT glue. It is a sealant. Ask for construction adhesive, and someone at the store will help you.
@GreenmarkBuilders
@GreenmarkBuilders 7 ай бұрын
the construction adhesive needs to not get hard or your mirror will eventually peel off the paper on the drywall. Caulking and silicone allow some movement.
