Jammer,Vreselijk, Onbeschoft, Onbeschaafd dat deze symfonie onderbroken wordt door reclame midden in de delen en niet tussen de delen. BAH, BAH, BAH , BAH, BAH, BAH !

So much of Grieg's piano music is spotlighted that it's nice to hear this very well written and emotionally strong composition. It's so well played and recorded here. Thanks so much for posting it.

Technisch brilliant. Sowohl die Wildheit als auch die Empfindsamkeit der Musik wird hervorragend umgesetzt. Überzeugende Interpretation.

I must find his bio. I know too little about the man apart from his supposedly glorious Beethoven playing ! I do know he was one of the first to publickly play Schonberg as did Serkin and others like Busoni's students !

I can't believe how wonderful the wind and brass writing is here ! I love this ! He wrote 3 symphonies ! Where did he find time to write a violin and piano concertos too? He needed to practice more esp his 2 Brahms comcerti . Did he play the huge Pfitzner or Max Reger ?

This piece, among others, was performed in the bowl at the Arrowhead Music Camp, near Lake Arrowhead, California on June 25, 1950. Delightful rendition.

Very nice. Continental drift. Pressure and time. Arising. Erosion. Impermanence. I get it (I think).

What a magnificent work this is! And, what a marvelous composer!!! The 1st movement is loaded with intensity, passion, and bravura...the 2nd movement is just beautiful, full of magical poetry, and the final movement is a grand Tour de Force for BOTH the soloist and the orchestra! In my opinion, this work and this composer will stand the test of time, and pianists will be playing this concerto for decades and longer!
