I can now speak French perfectly thanks to this video. Merci beaucoup BBC, vous avez rendu ma vie de traductrice des Nations Unies tellement plus facile, la paix mondiale est désormais à ma portée!

This is essentially a (relatively) modern update of Monty Python's hilarious Blue Peter sketch "How To Do It," which taught children how to play the flute, how to rid the world of all known diseases and how black and white people can live together in peace and harmony. Brilliant.

Hey everyone, for future reference: If you are watching a comedy skit and you feel the need to "correct" something, you probably just didn't get the joke. There are so many smart, stupid people. I've never seen so many "whoosh" comments in my whole life.

Since having mastered French from this very video, I have gone on to build a business empire in France, been arrested for tax fraud, defended myself in a French court just using just the words bonjour, d'accord, très bien and Christophe Lambert. Such was my success, that I am now in le D-wing of le Prison, desperately trying to avoid le bend-over in le shower.

I did A level French. I don't remember it being like this. Mind you, I did fail it, quite badly, largely because the lessons were on a Friday morning and I was usually too tired, hung over (or possibly still drunk) from the cheap Thursday night out
