I’m seeing a bunch of comments of people saying they like eponines voice.. I hate it bruh. She sounds like Audrey from little shop of horrors when she’s doing that dramatic scream while singing Suddenly Seymour

French Version: Thenardier: Yes, Monsieur, well, monsieur, You have come to take Cosette away That her mother entrusted to us, And may God rest her poor soul! Who can say, who can prove, That your intentions are well and good? I believe you, for one, But this money is worth little in comparison, We shared with her everything, Raised her like she was our child, Like our child, Monsieur! Valjean: Your feelings do you credit, I will add thirty francs to the payment, Let us not continue this argument which shames us, Here, tell me, is this enough? Mme. Thenardier: That would have been enough, Had she not so often fallen ill, Her potions are expensive, Not to mention that you have to censor the belt, But Monsieur, we adored her, Our natures towards her could not change. Thenardiers: Yes, Monsieur, well, monsieur, You have come take Cosette away. Ah! Monsieur, true monsieur! We shall indeed greatly miss our girl! Valjean: Here are fifty more sous, That makes fifteen hundred francs altogether, Come, Cosette, you are redeemed, Your doll is greatly pressed to leave, And you, two count it well, Your sorrows will not take long to forget.

Original 1980 Version: Valjean: I no longer depart alone. I am happy. I have seen your smile again, Just before dying. Cosette: You will live, My father, you're going to live. I want you to live, Listen to me! Valjean: Yes Cosette, You forbid me to die. I will try to obey. The light is within the hearts of all men, It can burn brightly for another person. You must try to rid the world Of misery, of hunger and of poverty everywhere. The light, upon the dawn of justice, Shall at last deliver us from our sins. In a world, where God can please himself, If he decides one day to return to Earth. Cosette, love him. Marius, love her. Who loves his wife, unknowingly loves God. Full Cast: For the will of the people, None can extinguish our voice, And so the song will ring out forever As it had so long before, We wish that our light will Penetrate the mask of night, To illuminate our land And to change our lives. The glorious day will come, When on its march to the ideal, Mankind will progress from evil To good and from falsehoods to truth. A dream may yet die, But hope lives on forever! Will you join in our crusade, Of those with hopes for humanity? For every fallen barricade, One hundred more will rise again! For the will of the people, We hear the sound of distant drums, Announcing the future that they bring When tomorrow comes! Will you join in our crusade, Of those with hopes for humanity? For every fallen barricade, One hundred more will rise again! For the will of the people, We hear the sound of distant drums, Announcing the future that they bring When tomorrow comes! Ah! Tomorrow comes!

French Version: Valjean: I no longer depart alone. I am happy. I have seen your smile again, Now I may finally die. Cosette: You will live, Papa, you're going to live! I want you to live, Listen to me! Valjean: Yes, Cosette, You forbid me to die. I will try to obey. On this page, I write my soul's confession, And the secrets That you would want to know. It's the story, Of one who loved you so much, She confided you in me Before she disappeared. Fantine: Come with me, Where chains will never bind you. Let me guide you Towards supreme happiness. Lord in Heaven, Look down on him in mercy. Valjean: Forgive me all my treaspasses And take me to thy kingdom. Fantine & Eponine: Take my hand, And come into his light. Take the love, which shines When life is fading. Fantine, Eponine, & Valjean: And remember, The truths within your prayer: "Who loves another person Is most near to God on Earth." Full cast: For the will of the people, None can extinguish our voice, And so the song will ring out forever As it had so long before, We wish that our light will Penetrate the mask of night, To illuminate our land And to change our lives. French Version: COSETTE: How strange is this feeling. Which excites me in spite of myself. You’re crazy! People do not fall in love so fast. What is happening to you, Cosette? Is your solitude playing tricks on you? And do you see visions that remind you of love? In my life, I do not lack anything, yet I feel something is missing, but what? Suddenly, I am no longer that girl who dreamed of the doll in the window, And I expect everything from a prince I know nothing about, And I dream of discovering the world by taking his hand, Does he know I exist? Did he notice me? Or is this simply a dream from which I have yet to awaken? In my life, I no longer feel alone, I now have a secret, And I pray for him to enter my life. (Enter Jean Valjean, in his early sixties) VALJEAN: My Cosette, You dream of another world, Where your wandering thoughts lead you, You often dream of adventure, Like a caged songbird, Are you not satisfied, my daughter, With having your old father for company? COSETTE: I know nothing of myself, Of the child I was, I ask you sometimes, But you never speak. I know nothing of you, So little of your life, My father, do you not trust your daughter? The secrets in your heart, So dark they frighten me. In my life, I want for nothing, You are good, you are tender, you love me. But papa, dear papa, In your eyes I am still the child who is lost in the woods. VALJEAN: Not another word about it, The past is dead. But its echoes scream as loudly and hurt as much today. COSETTE: In my life, I am no longer a child, And I expect happiness too. Happiness in my life. VALJEAN: Happiness is a gift from God, my child, And it comes in one’s good time. In one’s good time. (Exit. Cosette comes to a window, outside which Marius and Eponine are seen coming towards the house) MARIUS: In my life, I have seen the model God took When He made the angels above. There she is, before me, my princess, In the garden holding a rose in her hand, It’s unreal! Eponine, you are the fairy who brought us together, And I pray, that happiness like mine comes into your life, The good Lord is sometimes like a great magician! EPONINE: Every joy in his heart puts an arrow in mine. In my life, There is no one but him in the world for me. If he asked, I would be his. BOTH: In my life, There is someone who counts in my life. MARIUS: There, at last! EPONINE: There, in vain. MARIUS: A heart full of joy A heart full of chimeras, I am afraid to anger her, O God! For shame, I do not even know your name, Dear mademoiselle. I am mad, But she is fair! COSETTE: A heart full of joy. Tell me who you are. MARIUS: My name is Marius Pontmercy. COSETTE: And I’m Cosette. MARIUS: Cosette, I do not know what to say. COSETTE: Say nothing, then. MARIUS: My heart trembles. COSETTE: As does mine. MARIUS: A heart in ecstasy. BOTH: In the span of one night! MARIUS: O flower in the garden of paradise! Cosette! Cosette! COSETTE: Are you the prince I waited for? MARIUS: Is this a dream? COSETTE: No, I am real. MARIUS: A heart full of joy! EPONINE: No, these words are not for me. MARIUS & COSETTE: A heart full of you! EPONINE: I have nothing to regret. MARIUS: I knew it was at first sight! COSETTE: For the first time! EPONINE: He would never say these words. Not to me. MARIUS: I was hoping. EPONINE: Not to me, not for me. COSETTE: I was waiting. MARIUS & COSETTE: And it is sweeter than a dream. Not a dream, You and I. EPONINE: His heart full of joy Would not beat, Not for me.

Why does eponine sounds like a child
@kp46924 жыл бұрын
This is so sweet. I also realized something recently (that I feel everyone else knows and I'm just late and think I'm smart) the reason that its Fantine and Eponine here- because they're each a connection to Marius and Cosette, who were with Jean Valjean when he died and were both like children to him Fantine is the part of Cosette who comes to him Eponine is the part of Marius I know everyone's probably figured this out but I feel pretty dang smart right now lol

Ok, we skip Valjean's first line and now everytime you need to hear this in your head Daddy live Daddy, you've got to live (Why are you singing) You can heal Please don't make us cry No my child I'm sorry but it's time I can not heal So now I'll... Die On these pages You'll find my last edition Read them well When I finish my bleeding It's a story of a mutant with claws raging A mutant everybody loved Metal bones and super healing Come with Jean Where claws will never slice you All your grit and scruff that once defined you X-Men Heaven Please let him cross this divide Laura don't be what they made you So this is what is feels like Take my hand It's time for your finale Take my love Even though one time you stabbed me And remember That Hugh Jackman is Logan To cast another person now is simply a... Lost cause Do you hear the Wolverine? Finally finished with the fight All of the stabbing of the people who do not know wrong from right Of all the mutants and their worth There is a man that never dies 17 years of X-Men and now he's cutting ties We will live again in reboots in our Marvel Universe Even though we aren't Avengers Rated R, we'll screw and curse An X-Men for adults and honestly things could be worse Will you forget X-2? How many "Last Stands" will there be? We tried to make "X-Men Origins" but just got more Wolverine "First Class" made the people sing Magneto versus Bacon And in the "Days of the Future Past" happy ending comes Quicksilver then joins the team Apocalypse does not succeed Somewhere beyond all that Xavier makes all of us deceased Do you hear the Wolverine? rowlo Van Der Gracht Her voice is supposed to be lower so that it matches Fantine's higher pitched voice, and her showing up at the end is supposed to represent her acceptance into heaven after she sacrificed herself to save Monsieur Marius, that and this is the finale they kinda have to bring everyone back (except for Javert).
