Looks like you were intrigued by the chord progression as much as I was. 👍

Yes it's beautiful. I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to figure it all out start to finish when I was learning it. The chords are gorgeous together.

@@sbbinahee When I tackled the song I also used the capo on the first fret! 😉
@sbbinaheeАй бұрын
@AndyMangele I worked it out by ear listening to the original and playing along. I deduced that I needed the capo on the 1st fret to match the key to work it out and play along.

I love this, Paul! Beautiful playing and singing! I am so sorry to hear about your mother. She sounds like an amazing woman who greatly blessed you and your family! I lost my mother in September of 2021 due to Alzheimer’s and I miss her dearly. I’m so thankful God made a way for us to be reunited with them later and we can look forward to that. As a side note, I like your community posts my patriot brother and strongly agree with your viewpoints! 👍

And to think Wayne wanted Karen Carpenter to play Mattie Ross. He had a duet planned for sometime during the movie like he did in Rio Bravo with Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson.

I have been to several of Glen Campbell's concerts and have many of his albums. I had never heard this song before I heard it on your video. I immediately ordered the cd on the internet. It now is one of my favorite Glen Campbell songs. Also Glen is one of my favorite performers. I always felt a closeness to him as my home town is near his. Thanks for posting the video.

George wrote this track to convey his frustrations as a songwriter and thus his limited involvement as a shareholder in the music publishing company Northern Songs, Ltd. (He published all his future compositions through his company, Harrisongs, Ltd.) He purposefully gave the song an offbeat feeling, both in the music and the words, which go: If you're listening to this song You may think the chords are going wrong But they're not We just wrote them like that When you're listening late at night You may think the band are not quite right But they are They just play it like that And it doesn't really matter what chords I play What words I say Or time of day it is As it's only a Northern Song It doesn't really matter what clothes I wear Or how I fare Or if my hair is brown 'Cause it's only a Northern Song If you think the harmony Is a little dark and out of key You're correct There's nobody there And I told you there's no one there
