Modern movies forgot the everyman and women. It's like instead of writing movies based on how things really are in people's lives, they write movies based on the culture wars on twitter. They either write serious characters as caricatures of what they think these people are based on comments they read online. All the protagonists have that same art school vibe, which makes me think they base all the "good" characters off of their circle of friends. And then creators make films that seem to just portray the world they want. Good movies based on real experiences of everyday men and women seem rare. There are some good ones, and I really liked one film I saw about a girl dealing with her deaf family and balancing out her love for singing, but those are getting rarer.

I forced myself to watch episode 3. I'm a liberal but when things go too far, you have to call it out. The women are strong (to strong) the men are stupid (to stupid). The script sucks, the acting sucks, the vfx sucks, the music sucks, did I leave anything out. I saw Star Wars when I was 14 years old in 1977. It started me on my journey. Can't be a more real fan than me... K Kennedy has got something on somebody high at Disney. That's the only explanation why she ain't fired. Star Wars is dead as long as this continues . I feel like a strong story with a good theme (or a good story with a strong theme) would be able to get a message across decently well anyway. A good theme is usually universal to the human experience, so build a story with a good theme, and you might just a point or two across to the audience. Suddenly, you're not preaching to them; instead, they find the theme compelling because of shared experiences-or at least empathy.

Blowing up the SECOND Death Star was at least marginally grey morally, because there were millions of innocent contractors aboard whose only crime was taking a contract with the Empire. But even then, it was a necessary evil. A million innocents dead now to spare the lives of BILLIONS of innocents that the Empire would’ve gleefully slaughtered had the Second Death Star become fully operational. The First Death Star though. It was a military base manned by enemy combatants in the midst of an ongoing war who had just slaughtered 2 billion people on Alderaan. There’s nothing morally grey about blowing that one up.

Lots of videos on the negative elements of this show, but this video was the most balanced so thank you. The last Jedi is the worst movie ever made. It did something that, at the time, I didn't even know was possible. It made me not care about Star Wars anymore. I haven't watched the OT or the prequels since it came out. I haven't watched a single movie or show that's come out since. I just dont care anymore.

I was 100% onboard for Rey and Fin a woman and black man as leads. But instead of making awesome characters I could root for, they made a boring God woman who could do no wrong and turned Fin into a glorified side character. I was so excited when I saw they had a dedicated x-wing pilot as a main character who they just turned into a walking joke. I wanted to love the sequels so badly and that’s what hurt and turned my interest off
