Something I've also noticed is if you overuse your lateral thrusters you can lose too much speed allowing your opponent to orbit around you and continue shooting. This is a lot harder to (for me) manage on keyboard since there's no analog thruster control

I just use my Corvette for bounty hunting. It works. For hauling I go Type 9 over the Cutter for the centered pilot chair and the anaconda does all my exploration... Though the Krait Phantom is growing on me...

Pc vs Console players is an entire breed. So hard to manage those, fly, and shoot on consoles all at the same time.

"No matter how evasive you are, if you can't pack a punch you won't be helping your team on any fight" - So true, that is precisely what I discovered yesterday during my first ever wingfight: managed to be the last ship standing in my team every time, but yet had no impact on the fight whatsoever as I was lost avoiding shots/deciding where/who to shoot 😶‍🌫I'm usually very accurate but there I was incapable of landing shots. The most difficult thing for a newcomer is that you don't shoot at someone who's passing/coming your way, you have to shoot at ships that are going away from you and that is totally different from a duel as you need to think in "3D" while a duel is basically 2D, on a plane.

Given recent revelations, I have more and more difficulty to believe such a wide "skill" gap when basically none of you even loses a ring of shields, even when fighting people that are themselves known as good pilots... Stick is really required for FA off, it's possible with mouse and keyboard but a bit irritating, plus the same setup is bothersome in FSD flight. Actually controlling the input with stick is a lot better and satisfying than tapping buttons.

I really enjoy the Python for PvP. Originally I made it as a bank tank, but that variant really suffered in wing fights. So I switched it to a prismatic hull tank instead. Essentially I ignore my sys capacitor and go for maximum damage and time on target.

I never knew about boosting while in full reverse. I honestly believe this is the skill I've been missing this entire time as I fly on console, and I have never gotten the hang of boosting in FAO since it sends me 4-6km away from the target. So, I end up jousting the entire time, and it's incredibly frustrating.
