Beautiful...I watched one of your videos that showed the little village I came from in west Clare..The only famous person that came from Cree..was a fiddle player called Patrick Kelly..I was a great friend of his son ..going to school many years ago...I have another channel on KZfaq dedicated to Irish Traditional Music, Song and Dance called "Clarebannerman"..

Wonderful…..in my 70th year I’ve been listening to and playing traditional Irish music for nearly 60 years and I’ve never heard one like this….must be a Sara original.

Okay, I'll take it. Are you in Scotland? Ever run into a banjo player by the name of Maurice, about our age, travels around in a camper van? I have met him in Ennis a couple of times.

Lovely tunes Paudie . Bring s back memories as my late friend Eugene used to play these and I learnt them from him RIP .

Interested to compare your town with the places I visited in Cape Cod and Nantucket last year from Scotland. Loved it all….. huge contrast to Scotland (as you’d expect!). Always enjoy your productions…..and great to see the flags outside your home. An antidote to some of the stuff people put online!
@sara505sings3 ай бұрын
Jim, thank you, as always. I follow several KZfaq photographers who do a lot of landscape photography in Scotland. It looks beautiful there, but as far as landscape photography goes, like Ireland, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Maybe I will get to Scotland someday. I met a banjo player in Ennis who comes over from Scotland in his camper van. Yes, I'm afraid the Vineyard and Cape Cod and Nantucket are quite dreary this time of year. We don't real get green for another month. Then the busy tourist season comes upon us and it's like being shot out of a cannon. Yes, I get many visitors off the street from Ireland during the summer who see the flag and come on in. Sometimes I hand them an instrument and we have a little impromptu Session right on the porch.

Hey, guys, I am home. It's basically the same here - gray misty skies, but the grass is brown and the houses are all grey shingles or white. Very dreary. How I miss the colorful houses and the green grass in Ireland. Can't wait to see you all again! Such a joy to play music with you and your talented teenagers! ♥️🎻

The Weather in Ireland and Britain is unpredictable and often dull. It’s the Weather you just have to be prepared for crap weather and not let it get in the way of a good time.
@sara505sings4 ай бұрын
Yes, and you may have noticed that while I was discussing the weather I was laughing out loud. The funniest day was when I looked out my window and I saw that it was raining. I put on my rain gear. I walked down the stairs and out the door and the Sun was shining. I walked back up the stairs and took off my rain gear and walked back down the stairs and you guessed it, it was raining again. No problem. 😂

Add the best photos are taken on Gray and misty and rainy days, not when the sun is shining.

I thought that I wouldn't be able to listen to this without accompanying video but I have been to this pub when I lived in Ireland and I have seen Blackie and Siobhán play here. I have the images in my mind. Anyhow the music is so wonderful that when present I sometimes have to close my eyes. I get so overwhelmed. I think that there used to be a makeshift beer garden out front.

Cool find, this came up on my feed but I always love how small island have a great system. They are getting more buses fleet now, they just got 4 used bus from MBTA (Boston) so they can keep the demand for summer peak schedules. VTA is planning to get 10 more new electric bus in 2024 and I was informed in 2025 or so, it'll be 100% electric.
@sara505sings Жыл бұрын
It's a terrible system. The buses are too big for our small towns and narrow Island roads. They go too fast for the conditions, bullying bikes out of the way, they clog up traffic because they can't navigate corners, and many of them are empty. The VTA is a bully organization. Come sit on my porch and watch 30 of these monsters an hour zoom past my house and you will get the idea. The electric buses are even wider than the diesels. Public transit could be run much much better than this.
