I lost my mom to cancer when I was 23, so I can guarantee you the good times right now you spend with her are so important. Moving on to my 85” Bravia 9. It’s pretty incredible. It’s 98% close to an OLED on black levels and it’s a big upgrade over my 77 S90C for watching movies, just from the processing that Sony brings. And the 85” size is a game changer. Only con is that viewing angles aren’t as good as the S90C.

Hi I didn't order the bravia 9 85". But I did go with an A80L 83" witch I've been playing with since wendsday night. But I've been knoticeing a few things, like when I did my new setup, it would recognize my firestick and my Emotiva av receiver and list them in my inputs. But then the next day it wouldn't. So I did a factory reset and it all worked as it should have. But the just like day 2. It wouldn't Recognize them.then last night I was watching Godzilla, and it had some really bad banding in some Scenes. So now I'm just not sure on this A80L. Do you think I should just return it and go with the 85" bravia 9? I came from a 6 year samsung. Thanks darrell some great insight will be appreciated.

Backlight speed for me is the biggest remain led issue but generally this is definitely a step up from the competition and I'm happy for that

Best Whishes for your family. I am in the same predicament as you, as a TV DELIMA, G4 83inch vs Bravia 9 85inch. What ever tv I buy will be in a pitch black basement and never owned an oled. I'm so conflicted on what to get......

Hey if it is helpful at all I was in the same boat as you for a 65” to fit my entertainment center. After watching videos and reading obsessively I ended up buying the G4 and the Bravia 9. Long story short - you can NOT go wrong with either of those TVs. It was an incredibly difficult decision but I ended up keeping the G4 because of the 3D effect it had in general. But man, the brightness and dark details of the Bravia 9 made it so hard to send back. They both look AMAZING. Like TTK said in one of his other videos, I wanted to smash the two TVs together and combine them. Also to TTK God bless you and your family keeping you guys in my prayers.

@AllAboutTKK I know brother it was me joking , Bravia 9 is an amazing lcd I keep trying to get fomo test other Sony 4000 nit movies he has that 4000 nit monitor, Sony has a lot movies graded at 4000 nits like spiderman homecoming , I can see what the movies is graded in when hit the info button on .my oppo 203 .

Family is the most important thing! Hope your mother is able to recover somewhat. I've never owned an OLED though I use one at work sometimes. I'm still super happy with my Sony 65" X930E. When it fails I will definitely look at a size upgrade, but if I can avoid the pitfalls of OLED with Sony's new led tech, I am inclined to go that way... I guess I feel like the black levels are a bit crushed and almost unrealistically black on that work OLED!

Micro led seems too expensive to bring to the consumers possibly ever . Bravia 9 looks amazing would you consider going for the 85 version. Hope you and your family have better times 🙏

@tkk would you be testing 85 inch version of bravia 9?? Because what I've seen from AVSforum ...... is that 85" B9 is basically have indifferentiable black levels from oleds....and some users also posted pics of it....

Dude they fixed the black level issue years ago. A mini led has less overall full picture contrast.

Depends on if I’m looking for the largest size I could get. If so then I’m going Bravia 9, not only is it cheaper than the most expensive OLED it would be compared to, the LG G4 in 83” but it also offers you the best picture ever that an LCD has to offer, so it would be a win win.

@@katisnard1851 bottom is 65”, the tv looks larger because it is in front, it is like a 3-D affect. There is no way for them to be completely top and bottom.

You couldn’t go wrong with either of these TVs. They’re both great. I think you would be able to save a little on the A95L which is still a beast.

Picked up a mint condish MVC2 cab for $300 a few weeks ago and I love it. It ain't perfect but it is beautiful, compact, easy to move and enjoying MAAAHVEL baby! A week later i found a TMNT cab for $50 and I got an SF 2 1up cab for $80 last year !! lol at these deals who would say no.

The minimal trade off for darks in exchange for the brightest brights makes the B9 a no brainer! I had back in the day the Pioneer Plasma Kuru and the Sony XBR5 LED…..I used the XBR5 more. I currently have the Sony A1E Oled and the Legendary Sony Z9D….. I use the Z9D far more as it’s far more versatile. I’m going B9 over A95L as it is the true successor to my Legendary Z9D! At last, Sony will top my baby the Z9D! Just wished the B9 had 3D like my Z9D! No doubt, I will get the 85 inch monster B9! Can’t wait to get it!

My question to you is would you recommend me purchasing a Sony a 90 K 48 inch here I live they still got a retail that 1399. I’ve been trying to hold firm to see if they might lower at Best Buy seeing that the TV is two years old, I own a plethora of high-end TVs like yourself from Samsung to LG and I’m really digging this little TV

Just to watch some movies on it maybe some sports it’s going to be my office TV when I just wanna get away and go in my office do some work. I turn the TV on watch a little bit of Netflix on there and things are that sort.

Bravia 9 would look better if colors are calibrated plus with the white point being closer. The black levels will be better.
