After watching other videos using this product, then seeing this video, I think their failure is in how they were using it. I had decided not to buy one because of those videos, but after watching this I believe I will buy one for my Jeep. I will likely also have a regular extinguisher as a back up, but I’d much rather have the E50 to use first so it leaves no trace and does no damage and only go to the other type of extinguisher if the E50 won’t do the job. I may actually buy the E100 though because it goes for 100 seconds instead of 50.

Really wishing I had a couple of these in my glovebox recently. Truck died immediately after starting - okay, gave it some gas and it started right up. Kept it revved up at 3000 and it ran. I've had to do this before, but only after the battery had died and the computer had forgotten the fuel mixture. I would run it at 3k and slowly, very *very* slowly, let it down to idle. This time, after maybe 10 or 15 seconds as I was letting it down, suddenly the ground underneath the truck was completely on fire. I was in the driveway, so I bolted for the garden hose and came back to put out the 40 sq feet of concrete that was on fire, then turned attention to the engine bay. Of course, by this point the hood release cable was melted and seized, so the hood was locked shut. I watched as the paint on the hood began to bubble and scorch from the heat inside. I grabbed a floor jack and a post and started jacking up the corners of the hood for SOME access for the hose, as it rested atop the wiper cowl dribbling water from the top. When I got back to the hose, the plastic spray end was melted as well, in the off position. I put the whole coiled hose in the 1.5" gap and had to wait for the fire to melt it open. After everything was finally out, and cooled, I was able to examine the damage. Mice had eaten a GIANT 1/4" by 1/2" hole in the braided fuel line right before it goes into the fuel rail. SOMEHOW this truck was running at 3000 rpm, for at least 15 seconds, as it was spraying fuel all over the engine bay until it finally ignited probably from the temperature of the headers. FML.

so i have a 1993 f350 4.3 w/ a banks sidewinder. i got a great deal on her because of a hard start/white smoke issue. she had multiple fuel leaks and shitty lines. i got all those fixed. it had the original injectors and glow plugs so i went ahead and replaced those. glowplug relay was also replaced. anyway the white smoke is pretty much gone but now i hear a puffing/hissing sound that sounds like its coming from the passenger side near the firewall. im thinking a vacuum leak somewhere. did you ever figure it out?

If you get the center of gravity of the engine close to the engine stand shaft it won't be hard to turn. On a 7.3 the top two trans bolt holes should be as low as you can and at that point it is not hard to turn at all.

I built an engine rotator using the HF 2000lb stand (I have a video of the build on my channel), but I recently purchased a Matco 1500lb rotating stand, like the Daytona you reviewed in this video, at an auto shop auction for $50 and I like it A LOT better than the one I built. It's been a year since you made this video, are you going to do a long-term review video?
@Chasing5183 ай бұрын
I am about to put a 5.8 Ford small block on it, so I could do a long term. I had the 7.3 on it for months, rotated it dozens of times throughout the process and loved the stand. After a life of muscling engines over on a traditional stand, the gearbox setup is AMAZING.
