Gumi sv sounds beautiful, but she sounds boring and uncreative. Deco's miku and Pinocchio's miku sound very different from each other, almost like two different voices. But synth v vocals always sound the same. Even the vocal modes in synth v sound the same. Gumi sv is like a inferior version of Megumi Nakajima, but gumi vocaloid has her own voice. I think the gumi v6 solid is way better than synth v. I hope vocaloid remains the popular vocal synthesizer. I love vocal synths for their unique sound.

there's a difference between early vocaloid technology and utaus which do have it's own charm and just crappy ridiculously pricey ai. But anyway i don't see your point? I think creativity shouldn't be gatekeeped and i need to know how vocaloid music is pop ☠

she's even better at it imo. Having tested both, vocaloid gumi has a LOT of phoneme problems, but in synthv even if you dislike a pronounciation you can edit it :]

If you're talking about how realistically each one sounds, I think it's because Vocaloid's initial goal was to make "Vocal Androids" and I hear Synth V's is more aiming for realistic sounding voices. But ye I agree ... Vocaloid may have started this vocal synthesizer stuff but they're being left out now... I think it all started with V5. Hopefully Cryptonloids migrate to Synth V coz I heard NT's not that good either

It very bad, it just sounds like basic AI, nothing unique, you cant get the characters to sound different, they all have set voices- and if you have to pay that much to get basic AI then that’s honestly a rip off I like Zundamon though for no reason whatsoever, I just like her, I know she isn’t synth v but she’s awesomesauce and synth v is bad bad silly idiot face

the vocaloid was good, but sv has so much personality the ai tuning is doing a lot of lifting here. i wonder what voca sora would sound like with sv autopitch...

Maybe Yamaha should make a Vocaloid 6 version without the 4 base voicebanks that almost nobody uses included so they could comme out with a better price to try to revalize with synthV...

That’s not the years they were created, those are merely the years that they were released. They were in development for several years beforehand.

well I can understand people who don't like v6 voicebank but I have my own opinion, too. didn't you notice that the gumi v6 samples, which were appeared in the video, have not any proper tuning? meanwhile gumi sv has one. try to search and listen gumi v6 covers from different people. as for me, she doesn't sound there worse than sv. no, I don't try to argue that the synth v is overestimated and ect, it's perfect. all I meant that the tuning stays the most required parameter than the voicebank. I like few v6 voicebanks (haruka is my beloved) but it's sad that nobody uses them :(
