What if you just want to use them for farmer walks instead of buying heavier individual dumbbells
@SirEpsilonn15 күн бұрын
Exactly the video I needed , thanks! I was especially worried about not being able to overhead press comfortably, but you're right that in the worst case scenario you can just turn the bar into a neutral position. Should be a really useful piece of kit, especially for doing some heavy farmers walks on a budget

man thx, i was struggling to find an actual app that wasnt retarded asf. like: ''hurrr durr, lets know 50 fuckkings facts about you that doesnt fucing matter, and ohhh, did we mention that you cant change the grams of how much of that specific food that you eat? yeah, you will have to create a new dumbass food, to be able to change how much of that food you just ate'' like fuck me, is it that hard to actually make an app that doesnt need 50 fun facts about you and where you can change the amount of grams you eat of a food? - macros is the only one i have found that has all that

I have owned dumbbells like these for the past 5 years or so. The big down side for me is they are impractical for shoulder press workouts. Its critical to be able to have the dumbbells closer together. They aren't too bad for bicep curls and chest press but I think a more narrow design is generally superior

Thank you for the review. I'm currently thinking about getting similar dumbells. Can you please let me know what collars are you using? Where did you buy them?

I got some skinny Lockjaw collars (Rebel BEAR grip) from Rebelstore in South Africa. I think they are a local brand, so I'm unable to give other recommendations. :(

The problem is that most reviews, blogs are affiliates so they get commissions for reviewing and recommending. They all collect data, sell ads, and or charge premium with lots of bloat like coaching, receipes, incorrect articles, and so on.

Would love you hear your thoughts on daith piercings , from my understanding this has helped many people however ive always thought it is more of a placebo , but these are also discussions with people who had issues for a long time and ended up actually getting complete relief with having the daith piercing done. This is also with regards to going off medications that were not helping them , i dont think their is enough clinical data on it however
@bkadou6 ай бұрын
Mechanisms would probably be similar to dry needling: neuromodulation and placebo effect. It looks like nonsense to me, but you're correct, there is scant evidence to conclude whether or not it works. So if you want to try it, it fits your budget and you understand the risks, then go for it. :P

Super helpful video! One question, what size handles are those? Would 20" be too unwieldy to do bicep curls, chest press, shoulder press? Thanks in advance!
@bkadou7 ай бұрын
Hey man, sorry for being so late to reply. I think these are around 17" or 18", I can't remember exactly (I sold them a few months ago since I moved :(). Like I said, you just have to be more fluid with your movement. They work just fine with bicep curls - if you want your arm to pass your torso, you're just going to have to get your hand into neutral on the way down and supinate on the way up. However, bicep curls are also quite nice to perform with elbows together, letting them stretch infront of you and not letting them go past your torso, so either works fine. Chest press and shoulder press, the only issues are regarding the set-up. If you can get past having to rest the plates on your legs, the exercise is just fine. If you want an added stretch on the way down, again, you may just have to move your hands into neutral, which isn't a bad thing, and is probably necessary with regular dumbbells anyway.

Exactly the questions I had and you answered them all. I also want to expand on my home gym, but I don't want to take so much space taken with dumbbells. I am a noob, so probably just starting with the handles will be heavy enough for me 😂

I’m so glad I saw this video cuz I’m scheduled to get an MRI thoracic/ cervical tomorrow and I’ve been on the fence about this all week. I fell at home. I’m 56 years old. My back pain and neck pain is getting much better after my fall so I’m thinking why even get it. And besides I read that if there is ever a code blue no personal is allowed in the imaging room until they’re allowed 🤷♀️🙈
@bkadou Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm glad I could help. But remember, this is in the context of a person with pain without a clear mechanism of injury. If you fell and are worried that you fractured something, it definitely warrants atleast an xray if there is concern.
@utube0372 Жыл бұрын
@@bkadou yes I understand. I had X-rays done and they were both fine so it’s most likely sore and it takes time to heal , but I do see improvement. I just hung up with them and canceled it so after I start physical therapy and it doesn’t get better then I can do it at another time . Thank you 😊
