Gotta kudos responding to each comment, but this does scream ‘I need money’ whilst making guarantee money from your viewers (your viewers are taking the risk to reward). Even if it’s aimed at advanced Motion Designers, this should clearly be stated in the video and website etc. To save people time and money I highly recommend doing your own research and join other communities to those who had success freelancing e.g. marketing yourself on LinkedIn, networking etc. There’s a benefit with 1-2-1 calls with tips etc, but not like this - it gives Andrew Tate vibes (in my honest opinion). Good to see the community be vocal.

Amazing 😮 but fearful. Because of that drawing part. Please do a video on drawing skills in motion design. How much of it is necessary for a motion designer and how to improve or even learn basic level drawing skills.

Motion designers who don’t have clients don’t have $2,000 lol. This promotion video is screaming I am ready to take all the money from desperate newbies in the industry, quite disappointing to see this position.
@MotionXP17 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Not the position I am trying to take. It's more geared towards Motion Designers with several years under their belt who have built up the skills, have a good reel and just need some guidance and accountability to take the step into freelancing...or they have started freelancing but are not achieving the results they should be.

Question from a beginner: What is the benefit to animating a project like this in After Effects as opposed to something like Maya or Cinema4D? Thanks for all the great info!!
@MotionXP17 күн бұрын
I suppose the main benefit is not needing to learn another program. Also, my ethos with tutorials is to show some of the bolder/fringe techniques just to show what is possible and then people can use those techniques to be creative within their own projects...So it's less about if you should do it this way and more about teaching some new techniques along the way.

@ron_wayne19 күн бұрын
Cameroon, I’ve been following you for a while, but you need to understand that someone who hasn’t even got their first client won’t pay $2000 to get that first client. Consider changing the title and, as a suggestion from a marketer, Study your peers; for example, Motion Hatch’s whole motto is to help motion designers make more money, and she still charges $200-$400 (with discount codes) and sells in phases, where early birds get the lowest prices. I understand that getting access to you and the results you promise is value-packed, but a more accessible initial price could help attract those who are just starting out.
@MotionXP18 күн бұрын
Thanks for this Ron! This is a fair point and as I continue, I will certainly offer some lower entry points without the mentorship component. I will add though, that the point with the mentorship is to learn how to repeatedly and consistently get clients...beyond the first.

Seven is probably the motion designer who blows my mind the most. Good job reverse engineering this, but there are still some animations that just make zero sense for me. Like the 3d ondulating ribbon?? what's the deal with that? I've experimented for ages with CC cyllinder, but no matter what I do, I can't give it any beliavable depth at all. That guy's insane.
