Honestly wish it were gloss black, looks like it belongs next to a high end piano😂 brilliant and beautiful! Too bad the surrounds on the speaker seem improperly installed into the basket, they dont seem to fold the way they should...

I would commend you if you used scrap to create those shapes, but routing away the 80% of thick MDFs and standing in the middle of that dust nightmare for hours is just madness.

This might sound stupid but theres probably some truth to it.I built a subwoofer box for two pyramid 8" square subwoofers with wood that I got from a dresser that was free on Craigslist.Yes I'm poor. The box and subs sounded like how 8" subs sound in a box.I had extra wood so I took the box apart.I added to the box a vent in the middle but I added many pieces of wood on the inside standing up to make a zig zag path for the air.I reassembled the box.The subs sounded about 60% louder. This thought came to my head. The subs have more wood to vibrate, so that might be also why a bigger box sounds louder, sure it's how the sound travels but it also vibrates and you can feel it more.

Looks like a top notch, however a horn must not conduct high freqs. Only lows and mids up to high mids.

I have a very large pair of Transmission line four-way speakers I built many years ago. Your cabinets are a class above what I built then. The drivers are: KEF B139 extending to 35 hz Goodmans BBC monitor midrange/upper base (a superb midrange) Celestion HF1300 a very smooth HF driver. Heil ribbon high-frequency driver which tops out at 40K I have experimented with the crossover points using the 12db per octive network. I may remove these and the fourth-order Butterworth crossover network I built and put them in your excellent design transmission line. I respect your build skills and intelligent designs. Bravo!

The design and build execution is superlative. Congratulations! I would like to build these cabinets with a full-frequency driver that would do them justice. I would use a Jordan Eikona 2. Once you have heard what a high-resolution, single-cone driver can achieve, conventional loudspeakers sound forced, unnatural and fatiguing. Cheap single-cone full range drivers are just that, and don't cut it. These drivers that I propose are not cheap at USD 760 a pair. (600 English pounds actually) The EJ Jordan Eikona drivers a HIGH END, full-range, metal cone loudspeaker drive unit, designed by audio legend Ted Jordan. It is a world-class componant capable of exemplary performance. Can I buy the cutting plans for these boxes or buy a flat pack kit? Are autocad drawings available.? I am very impressed with your craftmanship. Thank you.
I love it,love it,loveit - can`t belive the Sound. The Optik is wonderful.

All of the people going nuts about the side mounted speaker terminals, you would change your mind if there was a nice pair of MIT Cables connected there.

If it is your first attempt , OK ! The next one I hope to be better. But for now : Poor woodworking joints. You are using staples instead of cutting your panels at 45 angle. I didn't see any "stuffing". The "blanket" isn't enough for adjusting the acoustic response of the speaker. The binding post it is something to avoid for Hi-Fi speakers. I can't say anything about the drivers. AliExpress , AS USUAL , doesn't give any respectable information . Did you measure the drivers by yourself ?

Do you have a cvg File for me or a drawing? Thanks
That’s a real piece of art. This building method needs a lot of material because each layer requires a big surface to cut from. I would try to create the construction with thinner wood which can be cut with a CNC laser. I would divide the tunnel walls in smaller sections with puzzle connectors on their end’s. You must put them together with a half length offset between the layers to keep it solid. In this way you save material and time.

Couple issues: You should flush mouunt the Driver to the baffle, and the inner edge of the baffle where the driver mounts should be rounded off to prevent some resonace.

F...... Wow!!! I'm planning on having one made to for 8 kicker comprt 6.75" subwoofers firing downward with a 1" acrylic panel exposing the entire thing with led'S. Biggest climax is that it would be a living room coffee table. Can it be done? Who would you recommend . What would something like that cost?
