Same problem here. Glued and reassembled everything, but now nothing works. Took it apart three times. The display lights up, but there's no text, and the engine won't start. Any suggestions?

Replaced the trigger with plastic one 10 months ago. Now trigger arm broken again at another portion. So replaced again with a metal alloy trigger. Wish this one can work until end of life V10.

I followed this video, ordered a new switch from Amazon, when receivedthen started followed the video again to find when I took that lite grey cover off the inside with all the wires was sealed off, It was impossible to do what they did in the video. I then looked inside the shaft where the battery was taken out and pushed the red switch from the bottom of the shaft and voila..the switch worked again. It was stuck. What caused it I don’t know but the vacuum still works. I then looked at the battery type I had and it’s the one in the directions on the switch that said the above was good for all but battery SV15. Guess what….mine is using an SV15.

Great video, just wished my fix went as smoothly as yours.. It is now working after a few hours and hunting down many screwdrivers and getting close to giving up! many screw & hex heads didn't want to undo and rounded off, the switch section didn't want to go back in the handle, trying to get the metal loops onto the circuit board and screw up correctly was an issue. However its done and working and saved me hundreds of £££ so thank you, but I won't be taking it apart ever again.!!

even though I fixed my trigger, but I really don't recommend people who is not handy enough to try to fix it. you pretty much have to disassembly everything. Trigger is the last thing you can take out and replace. lol

Great video. I will say that I found when removing the power terminal screws I rounded off the screw as it was in so tight. Had to use pliers to get it out so be careful when doing this bit. Thanks for the vid as helped me fix my hoover.

Great video I struggled getting the mechanism out with needle nose pliers. Found pushing down on the rubber with the wires was better than pulling with pliers.

great video thanks. i have just completed the repair to our V12 with the same problem. slight difference with the MAX selector switch on the top which has an additional connector to the printed circuit board but essentially an identical repair. best thing was the i got a new trigger from TEMU with a second for a spare for about US$2.

Great instructional video. Is anybody able to tell me what the red+black small wires with the white clip from the trigger switch do? the pcb which that clips into is damaged so unable to get it to click into place. Im assuming it’s integral though. Tiav.

Great video but Dyson is a joke. A year in and I have had more problems in one year with this 1000 dollar vaccum than I did in 3 years with a 150 dollar vacuum. I feel they use cheap parts and purposely make it so difficult to get to the part that needs to be replaced.

Hi. You can disassemble the motor head with a flat screwdriver. Just clean all the system. If doesnt spinning after cleaning, verify with a voltmeter the power delivery at the two pin metalic.
