Sir: that was an amazing video. You opened and closed that dyson like a surgeon. Well judging by the close to 200 replies you have, it appears that this model has a defective switch. Mine....same problem and not a year old yet. Under warranty (hopefully they honor it). I do hope that they have changed the trigger material to one that is perhaps more flexible and durable. Thank You for the awesome video. People like you make the world a better and happier place.

Great video, loved the silence. The only part that confused me was that I thought the trigger would spring more once replaced, took me a minute to realise that the battery pushes out the trigger not the spring.

Thank you. I went to 2 different Dyson dealers here in Indy and was referred to Dyson direct. I contacted them only to find my V11 was 2 months out of warranty. I turned to my trusty KZfaq and found this video. After watching I purchased a new trigger on eBay and went step by step to repair my unit. I kinda got stopped on the last screw because I did not have a long shaft T8 (I was using a short T8 with a nut driver and the drivers head would not fit down where it needed to be). After a shout drive to my local hardware I was back in business. Re-Assembly went smoothly and my V11 is back in business. Thanks again for your video, Mike

Adrian , a very well descriptive and thorough video. I did not have a new trigger to replace the original one, it was cracked as shown in your video. I was able to super glue it back together and also add a small piece of flat carbon fiber to the outside to reinforce that section. Then put it all back together for an very satisfying feeling when I pulled the trigger!!! Thank you and well done!

Terrific instructional film - a perfect example of how to produce a "how to" video. There is no commentary but you soon realise that it is perfect without it.
