Your instincts are correct. It's literally the better F-14 from the Top Gun Maverick DLC. If you can somehow pause to catch the left (port!) side of the cockpit, you'll see the names of Ice Man and Slider. We're dealing with a bit of fantasy here.

I uploaded this because my other post-stall videos were popular. As for the physics, they're obviously pretty close as far as what civilians are allowed to know. While the loadout of missiles are obviously fantasy, I find the game itself to be as reasonably close as I can expect from a console game. Certainly there are more realistic flight simulators, but Ace Combat's physics are still pretty impressive. As for using a statted-out F-14 from the Top Gun DLC to move like an F-22 Raptor, well that's the gag. From past behavior of video views, it looks like people like to see an F-14 do cool stuff. Even though they know it can't. It was designed in 1972. Catch up.

They aren't mistakes. They're to facilitate the arcade gameplay the series is known for and that people enjoy. Imagine it's like an anime about fighter jets but with realistic graphics, that's what the Ace Combat series is. I also like DCS and more realistic sims, but when I want to strap a laser beam onto an Su-37 and blast Erusians to the beat of catchy latin music, I play AC.

I understand it is for the arcade nature that the physics, are not the best. But for a kid growing up on it I thought it was amazing and when my hopes were dashed I felt.. not super great. It's gonna take some practice to get to the point of doing this in a dogfight, but ya see it can't just be pulled off at any time. You have to slow down to a near stall before pulling the maneuver, which is awful hard if, for example, you have someone already on your tail! Slowing down just makes you an easy target. Unless, of course, it's a close range fight where everyone is already maneuvering at a near stall. So I'm not saying that it can't be done, it just has to be done under the right circumstances, with enough practice at it to hit the maneuver when the time comes. Takes practice. I'm still trying/failing at using it to dodge incoming missiles, which takes extra nerve and timing, so perhaps there will be dogfighting with this post-stall stuff in clips to come!

The only advice I can give is, I notice that if I play through a video after it's been uploaded -- I do this to check the final thing, kinda to ease my mind that it turned out properly -- it'll start to get views. Other than that, I really don't know how these are getting the views that they're getting. I'm not known, I'm a nobody. So really, the advice to play through your video as soon as it's available to play is all I have for advice, because your guess is as good as mine if we're talking about comparable videos. Hope this helps somehow. EDIT: If it helps, the videos that I uploaded before and after this are in the low double digits. I wouldn't be surprised if I weren't having some luck of the algorithm.

Interesting to know. Must be where the game studio sent its researchers. I thought Wyatt Earp was more interesting than Tombstone, which you know came out in the same summer, but I think it was intended more to document his life than, of course, merely describing the OK Corale thing. Even though Wyatt Earp touched on that, too. Yeah, I think his life was pretty interesting, if the movie is accurate. Haven't gotten around to his books, which I understand he wrote while he was alive, but I tend to prefer autobiographies/biographies. "Take your time, in a hurry." You might've heard that, but for those who don't know it's his advice for aiming in a gunfight.

GTA V, Online. In the menu, look for "jobs", then whatever is equivalent to "GTA made missions", then search that alphabetical list for this mission called "Defender". It's a classic. But you need to "buy" (in-game) this plane, called the Hydra, otherwise you'll do the mission with one of those attack helicopters from the beginning. It's a Harrier, and very expensive, but worth it. I love to use it on missions. In fact I uploaded another mission with the same plane, using my own music as the soundtrack. Look it up under my videos, uploaded like the same day as this one, called "Hijinks over 213 & 310". They're L.A. area codes.
