What are your thoughts about inhaling the fuel or using red matches vs green matches? I am looking for a cleaner burning fuel that has less chemicals when you inhale.

I first started pipe smoking in my mid 20s, and still do at 64...I dont smoke in the house or vehicle...love to sit outside on the front porch with a book and beer, maybe listening to a baseball game on my old transistor radio😊

I wouldn’t include Full Virginia Flake. It’s hard to find, probably too rich in nicotine, and an absolute bitch to keep lit. It is really for professionals who know how to smoke a pipe and prepare difficult flakes. SG flakes will just frustrate a novice in my opinion. Instead, I would suggest Capstan yellow. It has the same high notes from bright Virginia and is ready to smoke out of the tin.

I think probably a lot of people would be interested in what you’re doing around there if you want to throw in some Pipe stuff that would be nice as it is convenient, but I don’t think you have to have a set formula for your channel, even if you have done that more in the past. Enjoy what you’re doing and then other people will enjoy watching it. I’m pretty sure!

This is my favorite blend thus far. It pairs very well with the coffee I enjoy. I dont notice the chocolate in the tobacco alone nore the coffee but when i take a sip after a puff its got a very nice chocolatey background flavor

I haven’t read the books myself, but I love the movies, so I’d say that it’s worth getting into. I also love to smoke cigars as well. For me, they’re the only acceptable form of smoking tobacco. Avoid cigarettes because they are harmful and dangerous. Fortunately, I never smoke cigarettes because I heard they have additives in them that can really kill you quickly. That said, I also love How I Met Your Mother, with my favorite character being Barney Stinson, and if one was to add an article to the Bro Code, being Article 151, one would say this: Article 151 of the Bro Code: A Bro enjoys cigars and pipes, but never does he smoke cigarettes.

PS52 Proper English would be ideal for new smokers. Ribbon cut. Cool draws so no tongue bite. Excellent flavor and aroma. Exhaling nasally reminds you of the aroma of good scotch. Sweet peaty aroma.

Hello! I have question regarding pipe Tobacco, I have recently required a pipe and want to buy some tobacco and since I have dappled in Tea and coffee i know that if you want a good product you need to know when it was harvested and where, however I haven't found anything to suggest this with tobacco. Should I just get something that everyone recommends or are there a marketplace for higher quality tobacco similar to that of Tea and Coffee?

I tried to like it but it’s too bland for me. Smoke a tin of this then go back to an English blend and you will find out this has no flavor and boring.

ım smoking a second nub maduro torpedo now . I probably did too much burning in the beginning. Unlike the first time, I can't get much aroma. It was totally my fault. and I may have removed the cigars from the cellophane and moistened them a little too much. I think 69% is too much.

LOL, I just had my first bowl from a pound I just received. When I opened the 'sack' I too thought; "barn?" I forgot what leaves are in the blend. But when smoking it I thought "Burley and something spicy...and at times a mild floral?" Now I am looking at it and I see it has; Virginia, Latakia, Perique, Burley, Orientals. So I now think "where's the sweetness from the Virginia?" This, being a pound, is one I now recall would be my "bulk English type: blend"...or perhaps Scottish for the Burley (?? new pipe rookie here), and I plan to age for a minimum of 2 yrs. Kind of wondering if two years is enough to mildly mellow the Perique, yet elevate the Virginias? Any thoughts? Because I wonder if you tried it when freshly sent to compare to two years later. Will aging have mild benefits? Should I plan on extending beyond two years? I did smoke this first bowl in a brand new Peterson (charcoal coated bowl)...and will try a bowl in a Clay before putting the jar back in with the rest in storage. Thanks

As a newbie I definitely second the notion to try many and find a few you like. I find Early Morning Pipe, Elizabethton Mixture, 965, and Quiet Nights my super favorites.
