Mr. Brog sent me a care package. They sent me the model 21 and the model 82. The Model 82 is a briar pipe while the model 21 is made out of pearwood and has a windscreen.

Thanks for your review! I just recently got my 2/ first Mr. Brogs, a church warden and a hammer. I just smoked my church warden for the first time and liked it pretty well. I think for the money they are decent. Have a wonderful day!

Great review. I have owned a Mr Brog which is a sitter and takes 9mm filter’s that is my go too morning pipe for weekend smoking. Had it for five years and love it.

I have the 21 miltary and 52 scoot. Both pearwood and good smokers. The 21 is my lunter since it has the screen.

My first pipe was a Mr.Brog it is a briar 65 Prince. And still today it is my favorite pipe. Smokes just as well as my Savinelli’s.

Their morta pipes are awesome but I havent seen them for sale in a couple of years. Pear wood pipes get hot on me but I'm a fast puffer though.

The 82 is a handsome pipe. More widely available than a Peterson (I have NO idea why I just cannot find the one I want, they're ALWAYS sold out), with a filter (which I much prefer). I might pick one of these up!

I actually don’t smoke pipes,I do during super duper tea,but I got a gem of a pipe story for you. This is a long comment. Get comfortable. So,I am a mudlark. I have a special permit,issued by the Port of London Authority (PLA),this gives me permission to walk the shore of the Thames river in London,during low tide. The low tide reveals,literally,the world’s largest archaeological site. A debris field,a thousands of years old garbage dump! Dating back to the origins of Londinium,the Roman fortification that is now London. Ok,so I get to London last September,literally on the day of the funeral of the Queen ,bonkers. The next day,I go to the River,low tide. Literally,my very first find,and it was sitting precariously on a bit of mud,one more wave would have washed it away forever,was a tiny white clay pipe,with maybe an inch of stem remaining! This pipe,it dates to 1620. Incredible! My fellow mudlarks marveled at the fact that this was my first find! I went on,over the next 10 days,to find almost 20 more clay pipes,dating from the 1700s. Some,with enough stem to still be usable today!! Just wanted to share that.

Oh!! I forgot to mention,when one finds these old pipes(which are sometimes decorated with incredible images),they are packed with mud. But sometimes,under the mud is a “Dottle”! Yes, a Dottle. That is a little plug of actual 17th or 18th century tobacco!!! A sign that the pipe was accidentally dropped,mid-puff,centuries ago! The mud of the Thames is aneroebic,no oxygen whatsoever,so material doesn’t decay,hence the treat that is the Dottle. Pretty cool,no?
